Rather be safe than sorry. With my old Accord 6th gen before, I observed that Honda’s ATF is different from their PSF. The PSF has a lighter viscosity.

Good thing for new Honda owners as most Hondas nowadays have EPS already.

I’d use Honda-specific fluids for Honda vehicles. That’s just how they designed their machines... not that I agree with that decision, but that’s how you’ll have to treat a Honda to make sure it lasts.

You can, of course, use aftermarket fluids that are compatible on a Honda. But sometimes it’s hit or miss. With a Honda fluid, you’re 100% sure it’s going to be a hit. Further, they don’t cost any more expensive than aftermarket fluids anyway.

Fluids that Hondas are known to be sensitive to are the PSF, ATF, CVTF, and coolant. For the engine oil, I am still partial on using Honda-branded ones, but I think the engine is more forgiving compared to the other hydraulic components.

I don't cross used naman ATF and PSF, basta ATF for ATF and PSF for PSF.

The last na honda models I didn't follow using OEM fluids are FD na crv gen 3
