cvt is actually the best. :D

yup, and the engine is always in the "sweet spot" where power output is maximized. the problem lang nga with CVTs eh not much applications for a high-output and/or high-rev engine, save for that 1994 williams-renault F1 racecar CVT prototype which got banned and never got out of prototype status.

Pag paakyat or pababa, or pag kailangan mo ng engine braking. Ung paakyat, most of the time kaya na ng D. You will be able to tell naman pag nahihirapan makina. If so, switch to lower.

Manual is my vote, I love to be more involved in driving, and keep higher rpms whenever I want to imagine myself a racedriver.

I totally agree) Many modern automatic transmissions allow a faster acceleration. And nothing can be more comfortable than automatic on a daily driver.
Automatic transmission has to be maintained from time to time and you need to change the oil in it. It's not difficult though and you can check basic how-to instruction in this article: How To Perform An Automatic Transmission Fluid & Filter Service

No fun moves like heel toeing. [emoji106] my vote goes to manual. Cheaper to maintain as well.

Please do enlighten me, between EDSA rush hour driving and cruising on the highway, when exactly do you use heel and toe?

And aside from cheap sports cars like the 86 and MX5, most of today's affordable manuals have pedal placements unsuitable for heel and toe because the pedal height for the brake is much higher than the accelerator.

Heck, I drive mountain roads on a regular basis, and don't find the need to use heel and toe - you can always brake then rev match separately, after all, noone is timing you.

    as an aside,
if fuel economy is your thing,
don't look at the transmission box.
look at the engine and the body.
