    My friend for 27 years, octane_warrior, died in a car accident yesterday. His Mitsubishi Eclipse crashed into a tree and died instantly.

    As a fellow TSIKOTEER, let us offer some prayers for his departed soul.

    Most probably yun sir Renzo.

    The accident happened * 7:30 AM. There were no skid/brake marks on the road where it happened.

    ^ No skid marks ? Wala ngang brakes or nakatulog.

    Kasi, kung may brakes naman at gising siya pero nawalan lang siya ng kontrol dahil sa bilis, kaya niya naman apakan ng malakas yung brakes eh, which will result into evident skid marks on the road.

    Ako nga before, running at 60-70kph nagfull-stop may skid marks na eh, what more kung iyan.

    Most probably brake failure or nakatulog nga.

    Any speculations that the speed upon impact was over 100kph?

    Definitely a speed of over 100kph sir GH.

    The place of accident was just 5 kms from his house where he came from. Sigurado kaming hindi siya inantok or nakatulog sa pagmamaneho.

    Ang alam ko hindi yun converted kasi dito na sa Pilipinas nabili yun as b/new.

    2nd owner na siya nung Eclipse. He bought it 5 years ago from our friend's father. They sold it to him because they need the extra cash to buy a new SUV.
