    yung mga volvo, bmw, mb, etc. siguradong bababa ang prices ng a few millions after the new excise tax is implemented. baka eto ang target ng mga politicians kaya binago yung tax?

    I read the PDI a while ago pertaining to the drafting of the new tax law. It states that it will eliminate all loopholes in the new law through meticulous study. THEY ARE DISCUSSING POSSIBLE LOOPHOLES SUCH AS MANUFACTURERS MOVE BY SELLING BARE MODELS AND LATER ON PUT THE ACCESSORIES.

    if only they lower the tax rates to reasonable, attainable levels (and it seems that they are moving towards that), manufacturers won't need to strip their models for taxation purposes

    Hehehe. Sinusumbong ang mga modus operandi natin to circumvent the law.

    Parayno and Camacho don't know **** about cars. Nakakatawa yung regulations nila. Halatang nilalagay lang dun to close a certain loophole (i.e. the rear jumpseats and front center seat). Ang terminology pang-high school. Maybe they should try to hire an engineer or better yet, hire MBT! :D

    hows the new tax going ??? last time i heard for 2.1m and above 60% percent tax + 500,000 daw... still pretty harsh pero d na gaano ka laki...

    teka bakit nga engine base ang taxation in the first place?

    Dahil nagkaroon din ba tayo ng oil crisis? therefore discouraging the public to buy gas guzzling vehicles?
