so much material!
is this part of your job, or is this pampalipas-covid?
Kasama sa solution ang policy, systems, mindset.
Other people ang involved kaya matagal pa epekto nito.
Ano ang puwede magawa or ma contribute ng private motorist?
1. Mindset, discipline, road courtesy.
2. Maximize vehicle use. Carpool or plan trips errands in 1 go.
3. Walk for short distances.
4. Bicyles or any 2 wheels when safely possible.
5. Instead of biggest car that I can buy, smallest car that comfortably fits the need or family.
6. Para sa may malaking garage at kaya ng fleet of cars, get a small city car for daily commute.
i'd take leisurely walk to the office. one hour, one way.
except that, the sidewalk has dis-appeared.
either it was appropriated by the government to make way for additional motor vehicle lanes, or government has allowed it to be used as semi-permanent parking slots or extensions of some peoples' homes or offices, i.e., sidewalk vendors with overflowing merchandise.
cycle myself to work?
only if i had eyes at the back of my head, and destruct-resistant body like superman's.
carpool?
with covid?
heh heh.
dis-band kaya nila ang coding. that way, i can sell my coding car.

Call it an interest that developed after getting surprisingly stuck in traffic last week. Akala ko dapat maluwag na kasi private cars lang nasa daan - but it took me the same travel time as back in pre-covid days.Plus super panghi pa sa Pedro Gil and Faura. [emoji1785]

pgh does have one enviable advantage most other hospitals can only dream of...
pgh mall!
heh heh.
slightly off topic, re commuting
yes kahit dedicated announcement ng Presidente, kahit about sa pag Fall in line lang , sounds crazy but malaking bagay.
Kahit i address pa sa State of the Nation ang tamang pag gamit ng stops and tamang pag pila sa lahat ng bagay.
4000 buses will be allowed to travel starting tomorrow. Bus routes are down from 60 to 30. Buses will only be allowed to load/unload at the designated stops.
Indeed, this is MMDA and LTFRB's chance at a fresh start - here's to hoping they don't muck it up.
Notable new bus routes: QC-BGC via C5, BGC-Alabang via Bicutan, Cubao-Montalban via Marikina

w/ the return of buses and "modern jeeps" on the thoroughfares of manila later on, i guess my fledgling biking days are just about over. sayang, just when i was getting the hang of navigating our roads on two wheels.
btw, when the gov't says "modern jeeps", are they referring to the chinese made electric powered ones?

Salary based pero may incentive kapag wala masyado breakdown sasakyan or wala mga violations ang pagdrive plus a percentage of what they can remit (number of passengers). Siyempre may minimum number of trips and passengers carried din dapat kasi lugi naman company.
Re salary, yun talaga magiging usapan, minimum ba or medyo mataas kunti ang how much. I guess it will depends on hiw much they earn right now kasi.
Before the pandemic bus companies earn a lot naman, they can afford to pay the drivers more. They just have to rationalize yung number of units allowed to operate and pag dispatch para hindi nagkakasabay sabay tumatakbo ng walang sakay. Mababawasan din yung agawan ng pasahero. Maybe a fixed bus schedule will help. Sistema kasi dati parang wild west.

MMDA: 1 mishap a day tied to Edsa bus lane concrete barriers
