Tampering ? [planning to repaint license plate]

Guys,

I had mine medyo po may kalumaan na...then bagong repaint ang oto ko ng white..so pag nakakabit po yung old plate, parang rice po ang dating kasi hindi malinis tingnan...

my question is, ok lang po ba na irepaint ko ng white yung plate ko then put reflective green stickers dun sa mga letters and numbers ko para malinis lang tingnan? hindi po ba TAMPERING yun?

medyo hassle naman kung magrerequest pa ako ng duplicate plate number sa LTO kasi daming papers and abala pa..

Yes, it is technically tampering if you have your current plates repainted.

But in practical experience, as long as you keep to the "normal" colors (white background with green letters & numbers), you shouldn't have problems with the law.

The white background on the LTO plate is reflective as well, FWIW.

yes its tampering.
but if you would want to do that, much better if you can repaint it using the original colors. hwag mo babaguhin maski ano sa form.

Style yan... also open sila for huli ng pulis if they are unlucky.

naging fad kasi yun ganyan color sa plate numbers a long time ago..HS pa yata ako eh....

Instead of painting, try going to a sticker or sign shop and have them place a reflective white sticker and green letterings. Unless you go to LTO and request for a new set (declare the old plate as lost).
