Last time I heard it was 3 months.. seems paiba-iba yun info. Best to inquire at LTO directly.

For me, nagexpire din muna student permit ko before I got a non-pro. Mostly due to the fact na twice ako kumuha kasi nawala ko resibo ng una

Here's the LTO ruling to go Professional Licence:

Valid Student Permit (at least 5 months old or four months old Non Prof License)

san fernando, la union ba? wala pa ako nabalitaan about actual test sa driving ever since nagre-renew ako ng license (san fernando, LU). Malamang yung sarili niyong sasakyan din ang gagamitin if there's an actual (some call it "practical") test. Before kasi, they have one vehicle intended for such test.. but I dont know nowadays.

If just plain renewal, no need to take driving exams, not unless the license has expired for more than 2 years.

yup. if it's just a renewal, wala ng actual driving test.

LTO's main database and its computer network just cant handle the load ...
