and yes, I agree na madaming nagpalit ng Spoon mags... madami din bumili ng 2nd hand and fake.

pero... whenever I see a Vios or Eon (from the Baduy thread), naiisip ko na Vios GR sana gusto nya or Jazz (for the Eon). kaso nabitin sa budget.
Earlier modders had to buy real spoon or rays from japan coz there weren't Rota imitations yet

Later nagkaroon ng rota so naging affordable for middle income car enthusiasts

Anyway, point lang is when one buys a new car and wala pa ilan araw nagpalit na ng mags it's a sign may extra money ung owner

Same lang may extra money pang special plates

    Discretionary spending yun

    True.
a friend who has 2 cars with a monday and thursday coding.
He requested na wag 1 or 2 (Monday coding)
nung dumating yung plates, Thursday coding.

Here check the update at the end of the article. The ban on covers are only for the new plates.

some years ago, the LTO had its chance to ban plate covers completely.
they flubbed it, by allowing "protectors" over older number plates.

    thus,
only new black-and-white plates are not allowed to be covered by even clear plate covers.
but it appears, no one is enforcing this law...

my "new plates" on my car are eight years old now, and they still look as good as the day they were first installed.
they're not "inferior", in my opinion.

but even with the old plates, there are those na "nananadya" or "burara", for reasons known only to them.

    my opinion, of course.

If the flooding & current were strong enough to rip a plate off a vehicle, losing the plate would be least of the driver's concerns at that moment. I've read an off road magazine article warning drivers about crossing water, as the deceptively placid current may actually be strong enough to wash away the whole vehicle.

Yung mga NCR floods we're used to here, usually stagnant water lang kasi.

One of the plates came with its protector, which apparently did not prevent it from detaching from the bumper.

Dapat kasing laki ng piso yung washer mo dyan.. hehe standard bolt and washer pwede lumusot yan once mag bend yung plate.. tsaka madalas front bumper eh plastic, so screw lang pwede mo gamitin.. not the nut & bolt combo kagaya sa rears
