Please check my math...
- The three-letter + three-number combinations can potentially yield 17,576,000 unique plate numbers (from AAA-000 to ZZZ-999)
- A 2009 study indicates that there are 33 motorized vehicles per 1,000 people (excluding motorcycles)
- As of 2010, the Philippine population is 92M
So that would roughly come up to a little over 3 million vehicles in the whole of the Philippines. Even if I miss the mark by 100%, the number of motorized vehicles wouldn't come anywhere near the 17.5M plate number limit.
Is this a correct assessment?
