September 19th, 2013 04:49 PM #13I think wifi would be used as a medium to connect the CCTV to a central server.
kung ang SM nga naglagay na ng 1hr limit pag nag connect ka sa free wifi ng mall, malabong free wifi for internet use of people under the shed ang sinasabi ng sumulat ng balita.

All news articles about the topic point to the same conclusion... the government is indeed deploying WiFi hotspots on the said waiting sheds.
I have mixed reaction on this... On one side, as an IT person, I'm quite glad we're sort of going in the right direction. I personally would've put it inside the MRT/LRT trains for best effect but it's their project and it's nevertheless a tiny step closer to what developed countries have.
On the other hand, the project will be (as always) tainted with politics. Further, I would think that they'll maximize the monetization by putting oversized ads/posters instead of the much needed signages/directions that would better benefit pedestrians and commuters.Last edited by oj88; September 19th, 2013 at 06:10 PM.
