Ganyang Ganyan ang neighbor ko. May garage naman ayaw gamitin. Gusto iparada sa tapat ng gate namin. Bad trip talaga.

When you buy a car you have to be responsible for the other costs that come with it -gas, toll, pms and parking. If you can't be responsible for all of these then you cant really afford car ownership.

well, you have a national road-ful of car owners here in my neighborhood, who do not agree with you.. they feel it is their God-given right to park where they want.. and i tell you, some of these cars already have plants growing under them..
i practically have to beg them to please move their vehicle, so's i can pass..

hey! why pay for something that you can get for free? the parking, i mean.
the gas, toll, and pms, i really have to save up and pay for...

    Ano ba yan?

"so you want to buy a car? prove to me first, that you have a garage where you will park your car and not cause road obstruction!"
the proposed law is that simple.. everything else is politics..

I was advised by a friend who has similar neighbors.
His neighbor has a garage turned sala. Tapos naka park yung 2 kotse niya kung saan saan.
He told me that the solution for this is to make friends with the said neighbor.
Ginawa niyang kumpare niya yung neighbor na yon. They both shared each other's schedules para alam kung kelan pwede mambara at kelan hindi.

Admirable...but in my opinion, HINDI DAPAT KAILANGAN!

Bakit pa kailangan kaibiganin at mag compromise with the offender when it's clear that he's violating your right of way?

I don't think I could be friends with someone so inconsiderate/rude. Your friend is a rarity.

And because people like that friend of mine, inconsiderate/rude neighbors continue to be tolerated.

Yes, that's the problem. It's hard to be kind, you will get taken advantage of or abused. You really have to give them a dose of their own medicine. Bastusan talaga, otherwise you will be on the losing end.

Problema sa ganyan na mga tao, just because they don't think it's an inconvenience for them e people feel the same way. We had a new neighbor before that loved to park across our driveway because of the huge tree that gives shade to his car. WHAT A MORON. He totally did not get the issue. I'm glad that tree was cut na.

I live in a small village and my lot is also small. Road is narrow. When I bought my lot, I already had 2 cars. I constructed my house with a provision for a 2-car garage because that's the right thing to do (1) I did not want to inconvenience my neighbors/other people and (2) it's safe to park my cars inside my garage. Because I had to provide for a 2-car garage, that necessarily reduced my living space which is actually done form of sacrifice. But that's the cost/price of my owning 2 cars. If I only had 1 car, I could have constructed a 1-car garage, and necessarily, I would have a bigger living space.

But my neighbors constructed bigger houses, with a garage for only 1 car and yet they owned more than 1.

I'm sure you will immediately see the unfairness there. When I bought my lot, I also bought a portion of the common areas such as roads and parks. That's additional cost to me. But my f&$ing!!!neighbors just don't understand that a common area is for the use of all for their common benefit and convenience and not for their exclusive use. By using a portion of the common area as if the same belongs to them, they are actually deriving benefit at my expense.

    Tama ba naman yan?

Actually, it's worse if your neighbor is a private enterprise because he is deriving actual income and profits where he passes on some of the cost to you (that is, his free use of space that belongs to everyone). And yet, while you share in his cost of doing business, you don't share in his income and profits. Even worse is if he cheats on taxes.

Kinda OT, but real story, as told by our house help.

The other night, a neighbor (bagong dating na seaman) had a welcome home party. Guests came in their cars. One such guest parked his car halfway across our gate. He must've assumed that with all the cars he saw inside, wala na papasok pa.

Anyway, his host hurriedly told him not to park in front of our house. "Tol, wag ka pumarada dyan. Sira ulo may-ari ng bahay na yan."

    Good thing he knew ...............

Also equates to additional jobs (tellers and security guards, janitors, etc) from the government. Problema nga lang is yung space na pagtatayuan.
