uhmm... hindi naman... para hindi makopya nun ibang companies siguro at hindi nila malaman na ilalabas na dito...
also, they wouldn't want to dissuade potential buyers of the lynx (or whatever model its replacing) from buying it which could drastically affect yung pagubos nila ng inventory.uhmm... hindi naman... para hindi makopya nun ibang companies siguro at hindi nila malaman na ilalabas na dito...
It's just a teaser.
Pero I'll be disappointed if they don't bring in the hatch instead of the sedan... the sedan rear-end is too chunky, while the hatch is still ***y, despite not being much different from the old Focus.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Sorry guys for my earlier post. Was in a hurry to leave that I forgot to post the most important part...the picture! Hahahaha. Anyway, naayos ko na. Yup it looks like a Focus. Thanks guys!
Odell's comment is correct. What is the point of disguising the vehicle? People will just assume it's a gray import.
Vehicles are disguised so that the general public won't know what's coming while the vehicle is still undergoing local evaluation (for local conditions).
Siyempre, enthusiasts tayo so even without badging, alam natin kung anong sasakyan iyan. hehehe.
Nakakita din ako ng 5-door hatch Focus sa Tagaytay. Don't know kung kasama sa evaluations.

Disguises only matter if the car is not being sold anywhere else... but the design is already common knowledge...
I've seen Fiestas, Ecosports, and the Explorer before they were released, as well as the last Lancer (previous to the (THANK GOD THEY DID IT!) nose redesign) before it was released. I've also seen the Prius on the road...
it's really weird for any car company to disguise evaluation vehicles here! Pa-intriga lang yun!
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Almost all manufacturers 'disguise' evaluation units. Common practice na dito sa atin iyan. Nissan, Kia, etc. Lalo na kung hindi local production ang unit.
Para sa atin madali lang malaman kung anong sasakyan yun. Pero for the general public, they would not really know what car it was without the badges.

the first time i saw a vehicle covered with plasters was 10 years ago, it was a Nissan Altima spotted in Espana. As for the FOcus, well, ganyan talaga, mga car enthusiasts lang makaka identify.:D

malapit lapit na ang focus hatch...dito yata sila maglalagay ng 2.0 engine instead sa mazda 3 hatch....

Favorite evaluation routes would be Calamba - Star Toll - Talisay - Tagaytay - Sta. Rosa. ;)
