Initial reports say the UB was already installed since 16 Oct and that there were no lifting activities when the accident happened. Looks like the crane was going outside the UB medians to be moved to another site when the boom tilted causing it to hit the UB.

Crane involved was used for lifting deck slabs, not for the much heavier UBs.

Kinasuhan na ng reckless impudence resulting to homicide, injury and damage to property yung Crane Operator/Driver ng Subcontractor mismo.

Nagtataka ako bakit wala sinabi about them.

They are under EEI's jurisdiction and responsibility during construction.

Hindi nila inisip na wala sila talaga kasalanan kasi responsibility ng EEI yun at all times while working on their segments of the Skyway. Kaya nga may OSHA and Safety Officer, may project engineers ka pa who should "know better".

SMC is not liable for anything. May CARI rin yan si EEI (Contractor's All Risk Insurance) by default, and as with all construction contracts, the property owner/developer is automatically not held responsible for the actions of the contractor that may lead to problems/issues.

May work stoppage nga din, so wala na din yung new Feb 2021 deadline na adjusted.

Question though, yung kesyo rereview safety protocols ng Skyway Stage 3 constructions, diba may bumagsak na din na beam sa A Bonifacio last year ata

Skyway coping beam falls, causing heavy traffic at NLEX | Inquirer News

WATCH | 5 hurt, traffic snarled as beam falls from Skyway section under construction in Makati

So don't forget, walang nagbago.

    EDIT:
Consunji, EEI bag Skyway contracts | PPP CenterPPP Center

so with the ppp.gov link, EEI, responsible siya sa segment na ito along SLEX mismo sa may muntilupa. Siya din responsible sa segment sa A Boni sa bumagsak na biga last year. So 2 strikes na siya.

I think yung responsible for that Makati Segment na may bumagsak nung 2017 was DMCI, but correct me if I am wrong.

So, with the above facts... we have to apply the saying "Fool me once, shame on you (EEI). Fool me twice, shame on me (SMC and gov't)" Hindi mo na mababago yang mindset ng EEI personnel kung ganito nangyari na ulit under their watch.

pero walang nabanggit kahit ano kung sino yung Project Engineer na naka assign during that time at kung may Safety Officer on site

Ano ba talaga gusto?

For me dapat talagang isara hanga ng matapos pero papayag pa mga tao doon?

Ito yung tumpak na parang hindi pinapansin ng media pero alam mo in the back of your head na alam na nila yan sa dami ng cover nila na major construction na nagkaissue. Itong sa skyway pa lang, kahit nung 2015 may OSHA na yun at always standard yung construction protocols and project engineers in charge of giving orders for the day and monitoring the Gantt Chart/Bar Chart Schedule.

Kanina pinakita ininterview yung investigating council ng Muntinlupa, nagtaka na ako parang tikom na banggitin na may pagkukulang yung mga in charge on that segment na engineer and safety officer leads/EEI. Iwas sabihin na under investigation pa anu yung "pagkukulang".

    EDIT:
Curious tuloy ako if baguito yung engineer and safety officer(s) na nilagay or assign ni EEI to take charge sa area. Ika nga yung tipong first few days on the job pa lang kaya kapa lang sila sa sistema pero sige sige magutos na gawin niyo to... pag tinanong panu, sagot... Basta dapat tapusin ninyo or papalitan namin kayo.

Baka din EEI is already "spread too thin" with their main force kaya yung mga hindi experienced yung nakaassign, which is possible naman. "chain of command" ika nga.

may abogado yung namatay. Nagwork sa bgc so represented ng company kasi nga nabagsakan while on duty. So sa husgado yan madedemanda yang project engineer. Ayaw lang pabanggit sa media kasi mababash.

Northbound, traffic piles up all the way to Southwoods in the mornings & afternoons because of the bottleneck caused by the construction & the skyway entry point on the Alabang interchange bridge because of motorist occupying 2-3 lanes with the outer 1-2 trying to swerve into the first lane. Finally yesterday, SLEX patrol controlled those 2 lanes so those entering have to queue in the 1st lane. Compared to before where traffic is at a standstill at times, traffic is now moving albeit, at a slow pace but still moving. Sometimes, konting disiplina kailangan.
