Ang point ko lang doc. A good mass transport system is the solution. The skyway is just supplemental. In 2-3 years the monstrous traffic will be back for sure.

If the system will encourage you to leave your car at home and just commute to work, then we have succeeded.

Agree.. kung daily commute from home to work dapat ang cater ng mass transport, yung kotse pang grocery at pasyal...

mas madami options mas ok.. since pandemic nga, madami na private companies, even government agencies offered shuttle services to their employees

mass transport is only for those na walang car...

papayagan mo si misis (and anak mo) magcommute?

I have relatives living in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. With their families. They don’t have cars and don’t see the need to buy one.

Yung iba nagmomotor nalang din to avoid standstill traffic by weaving through them if grabe ang congestion sa mga dadaanan nila.

TApos pwede iextend yung edsa quezon avenue all the way sa makati-pasay.

Isa pa napipicture ko eh from gilmore all the way sa cainta dulo yun may nakalagay sa bus na tikling.

A safe mode of bikelane eh madami blue collar/student ito na lagn gagawin kasi malaki menos pamasahe.

Sa bisikleta umiikli ang food chain. MAtagal magpalit ng parts and the most important eh no fuel or electricity requried. .

How luhtang talaga.

    Again ELEVATED-COVERED-GUARDED BIKE LANE

An hour in traffic is easily 3-5 litres already, depending on your car

Hehe. Pero the thing that I hate sa SS3 is may certain areas sa baba na pinatraffic niya. #1 I think is Araneta Ave. near Q.Ave.

Noticed this a while ago upon using SS3.

Upon Entry sa Araneta Avenue southbound toll booth, nagdededuct na pala siya ng 160+php on the spot. Nung nag exit ako Buendia, nagdeduct siya remaining 130+php.

However, in the Northbound Direction, no deduction upon entry sa Buendia tollbooth. They just display your current balance sa Autosweep.

Not sure why ganun current implementation sa southbound SS3. Iniisip ko na baka to give chance sa may low balance na magpatopup via mobile banking/mobile wallet app (Gcash, paymaya etc) while enroute sila southbound? But it doesn't make sense na may "chance" to reload enroute while on SS3 yung southbound, but yung northbound wala?

Medyo curious lang ako why such a system was put in place. A curiosity lang.

i thought the toll was 264 bucks.
    160 + 130 = 290 .

Most likely I misremembered the exact digits on the display as I only took a quick glance. After I typed those two separate figures, I just told myself, "yeah, total 264 thereabouts". hehe. Still haven't received my Autosweep SOA but I should by the end of the month via email or early next month.

My bad on the incorrect figures. But I really saw 1XX being deducted upon exit at Buendia this morning, not 264. Unless the scanner already picked up the toll for the car behind me? But there isn't an entry yet for Southbound between Quezon Avenue Araneta and Buendia right?

    Hi doc,

Total 264php. =) Ayan, tama na math. hehe!

In most parts of the USA, you need a car to move around. Lalo na if you live in the suburbs. Sa Chicago dati, may toll road (I88) connecting the western suburbs to downtown.

Sa lahat ng major US cities napuntahan ko, New York City lang yung massive yung public transport system. Marami pa rin kotse within the 5 boroughs but pahirapan parking sa Manhattan.

Could be a similar solution here in Metro Manila.

Train and Bus stations in the outlying areas with provisions for vehicle parking.... Then trains and government-controlled buses are the only ones entering the Metro without toll... You can drive your car in the Metro, but be ready to pay expensive toll... NYC has a fairly similar setup...

If I lived alone in any of those places, I wouldn’t bother getting a car even if I could afford one.
never ending joke sa SG and HK...

after drinking, everyone are on their phone.
Singaporeans, Chinese and Indians are booking for a drive home service
    Pinoys are booking for Grab/Taxi

same sa Sydney... but is only works if your an hour away by train sa work mo. if less than an hour, napaka-mahal na lang ng parking if the person decided to leave their car.
