    it's a cocoon

it's safe and comfortable and it feels good

people aren't gonna give that up

kung kelangan gumastos para bumili ng isa pang sasakyan with specific ending number request, gagastos
Tumpak. Kesa makipagpatayan sa public transport. Pre-owned car can do the job.

I've posted it before and posting it again today...

Want us to leave our cars?

MRT should have a business class section where fares will be 100/trip (no gov't subsidy)... No need to upgrade the trains, just 1 car/section of the train dedicated to them...

"Business class passengers" should be allowed to go up the station without queuing should have their own dedicated entry to the platform.

nah, the government is too scared to implement something like that. mawawalan sila ng boto.
the masses will complain that those who can pay that amount should just use their own cars instead of occupying slots that are meant for less fortunate citizens.

it might be possible if the MRT is not too packed. i do get your logic, but people don't get to stand in the isle when in an airplane's economy section so it's not really a good comparison.

i think additional unit for mrt to ease congestion. they do made the purchases almost a billion pesos but doesnt match on the system of mrt.

I took my driving exam in Mandaluyong in the mid 90s. We drove a few blocks. Ibabagsak ata ako, pero tinarayan ng HS BFF ko yung instructor I had a really hard time driving their dilapidated vehicle Yung exam naman, e nakapaskil na sa wall yung mga sagot, tanga na lang babagsak dun

I'm proud to say that when I applied for my DL, I did it the right way (no backer or fixer). I was still in HS when I took it and my parents didn't want me driving yet kaya bahala daw ako mag apply :P Parusa mag apply ng license nung 90s. Pipila ka sa labas and it will take the whole day.

exactly, yet there's a lot of those who fails the exam still.

Seriously? May bumabagsak pa? Yung mga signs kasi naka post sa wall so you only have to look around and the exam is so easy.

Di ko alam pwede pala gamitin sariling auto? What's surprising for me is that you have a daughter old enough to drive, I thought we are the same age or you are younger :P

But I'm old enough to remember nung pwede pa mag parallel park sa Taft

once a car owner, won't go back to commuting

I'm sick and tired of administrations telling us taxpayers to sacrifice and suffer. Its time they sacrifice and suffer by returning all the kickbacks and corrupt money they have enjoyed through the years, and forsaking all of it in the future. Then maybe we can afford nice things such as good infrastructure and qualified government workers.

    Isa isang problem lang

They can leave the car at Trinoma... They can ask someone to drive them to the MRT (I honestly tried both options, pero sa SM North ko noon iniiwan sasakyan ko)...

Pero instead of taking an Uber to Makati/Ortigas... People can take an Uber to North/Q. Ave station then take the MRT from there.

My Indian colleagues told me that their trains have a "premium section" it was followed by a joke na mahihiya ka daw sumakay kapag di ka naka-neck tie...

    Wtf that is common pala?!?

May napanood ako Filipina YouTuber exactly that scenario! Yung husband 40s yung wife 30s, pareho di marunong mag drive! Nag apply ng loan, na approve sa hilux. Saka pa lang nag driving lesson. Wala pang parking. Hay!
