    nope

Bakit ayaw paasensuhin other province so they can have their own ncr
    chicken or egg

pag may investment may job creation

for example someone puts up a factory in a small town

it will employ locals -- the locals will have salary and will spend

so more investment is attracted coz customers mga yan

may magtatayo ng resto, grocery etc to earn the money of the locals

so more investment = more job creation

the small town will attract even more people coz of the vibrant economy

the population grows and it becomes a city

    so need investment

    wanna create more NCRs?

    do your part

    using factory as an example.

problem nga (ayon sa study na nabasa ko) is that a province will have 1-2-3 factories
    1-2-3 restaurants

compared to Metro Manila na madaming factories, retaurants, offices etc.

    --

ung sinasabi mo sa post mo it's like network effects

dahil nauna ang NCR naka concentrate ang puhunan dito, nag attract ng tao from all over the country, lalo nag attract ng puhunan and so on

    --

so basically mahirap nga mag create ng isa pang NCR sa Pinas dahil chicken or egg

    kahit hindi factory

    kahit di investment

imagine a small town where every family has an OFW

how many families are there in a typical small town? i dunno

every month each family receives $500 to $1000 from their OFW

multiply that by the number of families -- thousands

millions of dollars pumapasok sa small town every month

sigurado may mamumuhunan ng hardware magtitinda ng building materials coz OFW families build/improve their homes

may magtatayo ng grocery, fastfood etc

    no need for factory

    agree, mahirap.

    Myanmar failed with Naypyidaw

Ngayon naman Indonesia will try to move away from Jakarta

IMO, if the PH Gov't really wants to "decentralize," they should start with Government offices.

Move PGH, BIR/BSP/NBI/DFA (head offices), LTFRB, Camp Aguinaldo/Crame and Immigration. At least yung employees nila will not try to move to the next company.
