    Hi,

I had bought the car last Nov 27,2011 and instructed my agent to process the plate number.Since its my first car, i am new to all transactions na related to it. Pinakita sa akin ung ORCR first week of january 2011 and the receipt dated dec 22. Its been more than a month now since the agent told me that the plate number is already processed. Is this the normal process? How long will it take to have my plate number?

Tumawag na dn ako sa agent ko and asking them what took them so long to give my plate number and they told me na wala pa daw narerelease na plate number ang LTO manila east office until now Feb 9, 2011.So they put the blame to LTO manila east.

Can anyone help me on my problem? Can anyone here are from LTO manila east?

    Please advice.

Welcome to the LTO where everything take five times longer because of the stupidity of the bureaucracy.

When I got my new car in Feb 2010, it took nearly three months to get my plate and another 1/2 month for the stickers.

I advise you to ask for the liason officer's contact number so that you can talk to him directly and ask him kung "pwede makuha agad yung plate# mo" then offer him some money like P1k-2K, ang ginagawa kasi ng mga yan eh naghihintay pa ng mga kasabayang cars para sabay-sabay nila i-aapply...Have an agreement with the liason officer na kapag nakuha mo na agad in 1 or 2 weeks time eh bigay mo sa kanya yung napagkasunduan nyo...This might not sound proper but the other option is wait like forever until you get you plate# and sticker...Ngayon sabihin mo na rin na kapag hindi mo nakuha yung plate# and sticker eh wala siyang bonus mula sa iyo...

Yang mga liason officer na yan eh maliit lang naman ang sweldo kaya they would do anything to have some extra income...

Up to now la pa rin ako plate.

    hi guys,

got my car early december 2010, then was informed today na available na yung plate number (after 3 freakin' months!). yung ending nung plate ko is 5. my agent told me that since march daw, at i chose 5 (which ang registration daw ay sa may pa), i have to pay an extra PhP1000 para sa "advanced registration" or something like that.

i'm a total newbie and the reasoning sounds totally lame to me, but well, i could be wrong as im not familiar with the process. can you please advise?

    salamat,
    curtsy

valid yung reason nila. normally kasi the ending is based on the month the car is registered (not sure on Nov & Dec though), kaya since meron tayong coding nagkaroon tayo ng option to choose the coding day or ending number. since 5 yung ending na napili mo more than 3 years registered yung car mo.

With so many cars without plates, bakit walang concerted effort from the car industry sellers and buyers to resolve the issue.

I got my plates yesterday. pero knowing that the problem is still there, sana naman maayos na ito. para tayong paatras hindi pausad!

here in abu dhabi, a car registration will only take 5 minutes basta dala mo na ang insurance mo. kung 3 years old ang sasakyan meron munang check up bago pa register. ang car check up ay ginagawa sa accredited gas stations malapit sa place of registration.

Sir, yep, totoong may extra payment for the extra months na gamit mo yung auto nang walang registration. I mean, kung Dec mo nakuha yung auto, supposed to be ending plate for Dec yung makukuha mo. But since you got an ending plate of 5, parang meron kang Dec-Apr (5 mos) na gamit mo yung sasakyan na di pa nare-register. Kaya may bayad.

Ako naman ang nangyari sa akin ay late Dec ko nakuha yung auto but got an ending plate of 3 (March registration). Since March 2011 thru 2013 yung registration ko, meron akong binayaran na P400 for the extra (Dec-Feb) months of using it without registration.

Bakit sa inyo for 5 mos., you paid P1000 samantalang sa akin, 3 mos.
