it was already explained at the start of this thread.. many years ago.
in simplest terms, no one has the right to reserve the public road (even if in front of his establishment), for himself.
a law enforcer said, "unahan po yan". ang ma-una, siyang nagwagi. walang reserve-reserve.
that is, assuming the law is lenient and tolerates parking. otherwise, hatak lahat kayo!
kung private road naman, "we will refer you to the owner".
then there are basic rules..
do not park so as to obstruct driveways, pedestrian lanes, utilities (fire hydrants, emergency ekek..).
and do not park less than 5 (or is that 6?) meters from a corner (edge). (is this for main roads only? i forget..) i think that is why there is yellow and black paint stippling the curb as it approaches the corner... ?? i could be wrong.. corrections from the more knowledgeable, are welcome.
