No u-turn, Can you go left?

Noob question guys.

If there's a sign na "no u turn" can you make a left turn? or if there's a sign na no left turn can you make a u-turn?

yes..... signs should be precise.... kung bawal mag u-turn and mag left turn, there should be signs saying that, otherwise, ubra. yun nga lang minsan, inaabuso yan ng mga enforcers.

yes. and yes.
what the law does not deny, it allows.
if there is no sign that says otherwise, then it is allowed.
but be warned, that the turnee always has no right of way. he should always wait for his opening.
and yes, left turn is different from u-turn.

parang yung kotong cops na nakikita ko tuwing papasok sa school decades ago, yung traffic sign andun sa taas malapit na sa tuktok ng lamp post.

pag sinita yung driver ituturo yung pagkataas-taas na NO SWERVING sign.

Either both, I think no.
Our country is in a left hand drive vehicles. Making a u-turn means, we steer our vehicles to the left. The sign was placed to advise us motorist not to obstruct traffic flow from the opposite directions. A simple sign can definitely say two word meaning from that. When there is a no left turn sign, it also means you can't make a u-turn also. Same with no u-turn, dont make a left turn.

may mga NO U-turn intersections na madalas hindi sinusunod ng mga pasaway na drivers. both at ortigas ave for example; ortigas ave. corner connecticut(north bound) and corner meralco ave.(south bound)
kasapakat pa minsan ang TE.s, nakikita ko mag-papaalam lang sila at sige lang kahit abala sa magkabilang traffic. lalo na pag naka-SUV with matching saludo pa ang mga bwaya

haha parang same din yan papuntang adamson university galing taft tawid ng ayala blvd then pag turn right sa may stop light going to san marcelino, adun sa itaas ng stop light ang mokong na sign "no right turn on red light". pag disregard ang sign adun ang mamang pulis patola nakaabang sa ilalim ng puno. Hulu ka!!!
