Has anyone tried to purchase an Autosweep RFID and actually use it to get through the Easytrip lanes at NLEX/SCTEX?

On the news, this guy from NLEX wants a law to penalize people who enters expressway with insufficient balance or defective RFID. I understand the balance, it can be easily prevented. Pero yung defective, the only time you'll know it's defective eh pag nasa expressway ka na. Besides, misnsn sila ang may defect, nababasa sa ibang toll gate yung rfid pag dating sa iba hindi.![]()
"your product is defective, and you are penalizing us for it?"
heh heh.
there was a time,
every other slex tollgate couldn't read my car's rfid. as we all know, we had to whip out the card for the attendant to shoot it with her scanner...
also,
a number of times in slex tollgate, even recently, the machine wouldn't give me a read-out on how much my card still had.
i had to ask the attendant to see how much was still in it.
during those days,
i had the impression the slex system worked better than the nlex system...

There was one time when my wife’s RFID wasn’t read at NAIAX. The attendant told her that her RFID was defective. She was able to pass using the card, but she can’t get over the fact that someone told her it was defective. After that, every time we pass another toll gate and her RFID is recognized, she murmur "yan ba defective!". She kept saying that for days, when I noticed she stopped, I started shouting it to mock her "yan ba defective!"
My EasyTrip RFID was removed from my car's windshield after replacing the tint. I plan to get a replacement for the EasyTrip RFID next week and have my Autosweep account integrated with it. Today I just found out I don't need to do this.
I went to Tagaytay this morning via SLEX and CALAX. Upon exiting CALAX going to sta rosa tagaytay road, I was surprised that the RFID scanner was able to charge my EasyTrip account. It looks like my Autosweep RFID account was automatically enrolled to my EasyTrip.
Sweet!
Quick question:
Sorry if I'm missing the obvious so please bear with me...
I am selling my current vehicle with active EasyTrip and AutoSweep RFIDs. However, the timing dictates that I will have to sell the old car first before I purchase the new one because our garage won't accommodate another vehicle.
That said, what is the procedure to transfer the RFID account to a not-yet-existing car?
Do I destroy the stickers on the old car upon sale and use my physical cards to buy new stickers once the new car arrives?
Secure your rfid card first.
Take out the rfid stickers in your old car
When your new car arrive , for easytrip go to the nearest rfid installation site and present your rfid card for sticker replacement.
Update your record, i.e., plate/conduction number.
NLEX or easytrip will most likely issue you a new one, card and sticker.
Sa autosweep maybe mali ang process namin we went to an rfid installation site that can't process accounts. Install lang sila ng sticker so thew new car is new account. We have to register the old rfid account and the new rfid account to our name to be able to transfer balance. Hindi daw pwede yung "to go" state lang. Registering it is free and easy daw but you would need the OR/CR. Which we still don't have Kaya we haven't transfered the ballance yet.
I'm suggesting you go to an installation site that can do the accounts processing too. Like the petrol Slex SB after MCX and maybe they can just install rfid using the old account.
We just removed the stickers from the old car Para hindi magamit. Yung sa easytrip it's less than 1k kaya hinayaan na lang namin.

Unified toll system faces delay, needs ‘fine-tuning’ | Inquirer
Alvin Carullo, executive director of TRB, said the “interoperability” of operators of the country’s major toll highways would likely be in place “either by January or February” next year.
