mga chief, based on my experience di pko nahuli ng speeding.... bakit ganun? kc regular ako dumadaan dun di naman ako nahuli... last month galing ako angeles nag-150 ako pero di ako nahuli... di kaya dahil nakaEC tag ako??? hmmm.... yung mga dumadaan dun, bili na rin kyo nun para lampas lang ng lampas sa toll gate.

Curious lang po. Does a speed trap take a picture of a particular overspeeding vehicle? Can it detect multiple overspeeding vehicles at a given time? Hypothetical lang, what if may kasabay akong auto na kamukha nung sa kin tapos overspeeding siya, posible bang ako yung mapagbintangan? Or what if may convoy ng mga 10 auto na lahat tumatakbo ng 130 kph, madedetect ba silang lahat?

Ako nahuli last week 128kph daw umiba kasi sila ng pwesto sa speed reading nila.

My question is can they really prove that I was over speeding? The officer only show me a white note book where he got the info via radio regarding my speed and plate number.

But i'm looking forward to real proof sana pero wala siya mapakita.

One thing for sure and I have to give it to them MAGAGALANG SILA kahit hinuli nila ako and I was kind of bad and didn't sign on the ticket kasi wala sila hard proof on my over speeding.

I got a tip that upto 120kph hindi ka huhulihin... but above that lang usually ang hinuhuli nila.

and usually, soutbound bocaue exit lang sila nanghuhuli dba sir?

hmmmmn may ganyan pala sa NLEX bakit kaya di pa ako nahuhuli eh usual takbo ko dya 120++ kph??? baka di lang ako natatyambahan.

tama south bound before bocaue exit when naging 4 lanes na sa 2nd bridge doon sila pwesto but when i was caught last week wala sila doon!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure were sila nag tago

well the officer did give me a OVERSPEEDING PICTURES request form all you have to do is email tma_liaison*tollways.net and include the date, plate number, TOP number and date apprehended.

wow! ganun ba?

For more than a year now, i use NLEX regularly, every friday night(northbound) and sunday night(southbound) and usually my speed goes beyond120kph!!! SO far NEVER pa naman ako na-apprehend. Do they have fixed cameras or mobile group ang nagmomonitor?

kasi naman eh! with that kind of highway, bitin talaga ang 100kph max speed!

Hindi po kasi nila kaya mag speed check pag gabi or umuulan.

Kasi pag gabi hindi nila makikita plate number mo masisilaw sila muna sa headlights mo.

Pag umulan or ambon lang hindi na accurate yun speed check nila.

i better stick to my 100kph driving habit. mahirap na nga at baka mahuli. nakakatukso kasing magpatakbo ng 120++ sa NLEX

mukhang sa 130kph hindi ka pa din huhulihin sa sctex.

nawala sa loob ko yung mga white crosswind na may speed radar. nagulat na lang ako may nakapark sa taas ng bridge, nakataas ang hood at may parang maliit na sensor,radar na nakapatong sa bubong

pagdating sa exit ang daming nakaabang na may hawak na listahan. obvious na over speeding ang violation ng mga pinara dahil pagbukas ng bintana nakangiti na nagkakamot ng ulo

For me driving at 100km/h is tama lang yun speed na yon, nag drive lang ako ng 120km/h kapag nag mamadali lang ako sa pupuntrahan ko. Di kaya akala nila 100km/h, feeling nila mabagal ang takbo niya kasi malawak ang highway. If driving at more than 120km/h comsumes more gas at mahuhuli ka ng overspeeding. Nahuli ako sa SCTEX nung July last year. Natubusan ako ng P1200 at sa East ave ko kinuha yun lisensya ko. Driving at 100km/h ok na yon. About gas comsuming, read Botchi santos' column at Top gear mag. And kapag nag drive ako ng 100km/h sa NLEX na maaraw eh feeling ko ang bagal ko and kapag gabi naman ay ang bilis. Or parehas lang?

The perception of speed being "fast", "normal", or "slow" are personal experiences which cannot directly translate between people effectively. What is slow for you is fast for the next guy.

If you want to take the SCTEX and save fuel, then drive at 50 to 60 kph because that is the most efficient speed most cars on the road will drive. Yet we are stuck with an arbitrary number someone thought of using on a highway that would be better if the speed-limit was just 20% faster.

As for me, I would rather burn more fuel to get to my destination faster/quicker. How much faster? Between Manila and Subic, "normal" 100kph driving takes 2 hours. My driving took me only an hour.

BTW, although the SCTEX/NLEX has a speed limit of 100kph, you are NOT required to travel at 100kph. You can actually drive s..l..o..w..e..r if you are really serious about wanting to save fuel.

As for driving "perceptions" during day and night, it is normal to slow down at night because of limited visibility. The same goes when its foggy, stormy, sandstorm or whatever conditions that limit visibility of the road.

wag po kayo mag speeding sa expressways. mabilis mamatay baka may madamay pa. I had a friend na girl na total wreak SiR nya. buti nabuhay pa.
