Kaya meron niyan is to put standards and uniformity.

I do hope and pray na gawan lang nila ng efficient na sistema on surrendering and asking for new plates.

    question lang

may nilabas na ba itsura nung new plates?

and dun sa one way screw, does it mean pagkakuha mo sila na ang mag install?

Imagine having to produce car plates for ALL the vehicles in the PH, although gradually is still not an easy job but by the timeline mandated, enforcers will be expecting you to sport the new plate already.

A welcoming change though for the car plates going from green over white to black over white. Easier to read because of better contrast.

And since they are in this scenario, they must establish the rule of No Plate No Travel policy - issuing plates to new vehicles and attaching them before the car leaves the dealership.

For vanity plates, they must have an ordinary plate while waiting for their vanity plate to arrive.

This is the same exact implementation we have here in CA and I really think this is a good idea for everyone.
Well, like you said, it's a really good IDEA.

The rest of the implementation is all up in the air, and a big question mark. Sadly

So as per this news, ginogoyo ba ko ng dealership? Here's the scenario:

I called up the dealership where I got my car, asking when can I get my plates. They told me wala pa daw available, but then, sabi nila, meron daw plates sa Mandaluyong ending in 9 and 0s. So here's what they advised, I can have my plates by next week, IF I'm willing to have the available plate in Mandaluyong. But it doesn't end there, may charge daw na 610 pag gusto ko yung 9 ang ending, and 810 naman if I wanted the 0.

OK lang ako magbayad, as I really wanted to have the plates already, but then kung papalitan din pala yun by September, WTH! Tama ba ang assumption ko, o I'm missing something in this news?

When it's time to pickup your new plates, you'll have to surrender your old plates, and they will install your new plates with their security screw.
You have to deal with the crowds, parking, plus yun queuing time mo pa. Hay.

Hindi na daw pwede pumili ng ending number for new vehicles! *&$%

Kung totoo man eto, sa tingin ko, at the end of the day, madaming magco-complain at papayagan din mamili ng ending number for coding purposes.
