New Plates for Vehicles (format: ABC 1234)

wala pa kasi linaw dahil puro brand new pa lang ang nabigyan. but whatever format, okay lang sa akin.

"ABC 123" = "ABC 123" or "ABC 0123"

Dalawang beses na ako nakakita nang personalized plate na rizal plates na naisyuhan na ng bagong plates. Parehas na 3letter 3digit lang so walang nadagdag na extra digit.

Lahat ba ng naglalabas ng bnew car ngayun madali na makuha bago series plate?

is it true n this august bawal na ang walang plaka? Kakabili ko lng ng car last May and ang sabi ng SA ko it will take mga 6 months pa daw bago lumabas ang new plates. Kanina sabi rin sa news ng LTO na they are encouraging yung mga dealers to claim ang mga plaka ( dami nakatambak sa office nila kaya). Is there a way for us to check personally sa LTO kung available na yung plaka para sa bagong car and ako na lang ang mag claim instead of waiting for my agent?

was actually thinking of doing the same, contact LTO directly. galing ako sa dealer nung sabado for 5k check up wala pa rin daw yung plaka ko. Got mine nung March 2014. Less than a month na lang August na!

Mas mabilis nga nakawin ang motor at dalhin from, say, NCR to Mindanao. So I think importante dapat may nakalagay na kung saang region originally inissue yung plaka. Oh well, kapalpakan na naman yan ng LTO, kung sakali.

so where would you place your old plates? sa room? hehehe

napaisip tuloy ako, paregister ako this month, kung i-declare ko kayang lost plate bibigyan ako ng new plates agad agad? kaso hassle naman, dadalhin mo yung sasakyan sa LTO for registration di ba? or legal ba yung no-show?

LTO should let us keep the old plates since we paid for it already. But one of the reasons old plates need to be turned in is bec. LTO is trying to prevent the proliferation and illegal use of the old plates here and there.

Looks like someone or everyone in LTO is/are going to get rich selling all the old plates as scrap. If LTO is claiming that the unclaimed plates from traffic apprehensions left unclaimed in their warehouse since 1994, when melted, is enough to build a small bridge. Just imagine millions and millions of vehicles all over the Philippines!

With the Rizal plates and past designs, if you request for another set or copy of the plates, you need to turn in your old, damaged, vandalized, obsolete, etc... plates otherwise LTO will stamp a "D" in the middle of your new plates. "D" for duplicate.

Now, I don't know if LTO will do the same if you fail to turn your Rizal plates for the new black and white design plates.

I have seen it all. New plates series (ie. AAA, AAJ, etc..) with:

* clear (or tinted) plastic cover (rare)
or
* w/ "deflector" brand cover (rare)
or
* using regular bolts (frequent)

I have spotted a vehicle with "AAK" series recently.
