LTO to issue 5-year driver's license next week

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced it is set to issue driver's licenses with a five-year validity next week, but clarified it will be rolled out on a staggered basis.

The licenses with an extended validity will be issued by three LTO branches in Quezon City on October 10, while other LTO offices in Metro Manila will have these available by October 14, LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante said.

The new licenses will be issued by LTO branches outside of Metro Manila by year-end, he added.

Mukhang gradual pa pala ang roll out ng 5 year license. Bakit kaya? Di man lang kaya ng LTO i-synchronize yan? Sobra namang hina ng sistema nila. Pero kung magtataas ng singgil, sigurado sabay-sabay yan nationwide.

Starting Oct 10, sa LTO East Ave office pa lang yung 5 years validation.

Oct 17 for NCR.
To follow yung ibang regions.

Expired nako sa katorse. Aantayin ko na lang haha.

nag renew ako nitong october 3 years lang din at hindi pa daw valid ng 5 years.at iba din daw ang bayad kapag 5 years.at sa awa ng dios.5 months pa daw ung ID.pero hindi kinuha ung dati kong id nag bigay lang ng resibo..

Gaano katagal before makula yung plastic license?

Nag renew ako nung sept. Naka lagay sa receipt 6mos to 1yr bago makuha yung plastic id.

Wala, puro yabang kasi si tugade eh. Common sense lang daw eh Di ayan Meron pang hearing. Asa pa tayo.
