    Hello Guys!

Last time akong nag-renew ng DL was in 2013 pa doon sa SM Manila renewal center (I wonder kung bukas pa ba sila); and next week ay panahon na para mag-renew uli. It's good to know 5 years na magiging valid ang ating DL.

However, may nabasa akong article from last year about the revised guidelines set by LTO when it comes to license renewal (License renewal: How to renew a non-professional license | Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines), and they mentioned it there that a "medical certificate issued by any licensed and practicing physician is part of the renewal requirements."

I was wondering kung ito rin ba ang medical certificate that will be issued by the clinics that are stationed near the LTO renewal centers, or hindi lahat ng LTO renewal centers ay may clinics nearby to issue a certificate? If so, kailangan ko pa pala magpa-medical elsewhere bago magpunta sa LTO para magpa-renew???

Natanong ko lang kasi the last time na nagpa-renew ako, tanda ko eye exam at urine sample lang ang kinuha sakin within the renewal center, which I assume ay ang pa-medical na mismo...at wala namang certificate na in-issue sakin. I just want to know ahead para naman di ako maabala sa pag renew next week kung kailangan kong magpa-medical elsewhere to get a certificate.

Pardon me if I sounded confused. I hope anyone here who's had his/her DL renewed lately could shed some light to my queries.

Thanks mga Tsikoteers in advance! Much appreciated.

Wala. Pati sa actual license test. Noone seems to be addressing the issue of our leniency when it comes to issuing licenses.

I think it's really a mentality problem - the guys at the local LTO offices don't think licensing should be a stringent process so they will make your life easier for a fee.

Whoever's at the helm of the LTO should really enforce stricter licensing policies with an iron fist.

I renewed my DL last month. They just took my weight, height and eye grade. They were supposed to take my BP but they just wrote 120/80 BP na lang tinamad pa. Would have been more logical for them not to check my height anymore since that remains constant.

    ano ka nga ba? hehehe

Sakin accurate naman. I found out I was 5"5" pala. The last time I had my height taken was in HS 5'4" pa lang ako. Apparently I grew an inch from when I was 14 or 15.

I think na tapos na yung backlog for the 3 years... 5 years na lahat from now on.

    This makes me so mad

I renewed my license last year and the receipt only had a 1 yr validity. I will be spending another birthday in LTO!

Err... I think car registration are supposed to be once a year. It is the driver license that was 3 years and now 5 year validity...
