I renewed last October 7. They told me to check after one month if the card is available already. The paper is valid for one year so I assume that I would get the card in a year's time

Yung Oct 7 2016 e valid for 3 years lang. I had my Mom pick up my license yesterday in Guadalupe and she said that the releasing was really fast.

I'm sort of glad that my license didn't make the 5 yr cut off, otherwise, I'd do the whole process again (photo, finger print, forms) so it's like applying for a new license 2 years in a row. I hope by 2019 it would be easier na.

I renewed my license on Sept. 25 expecting that I will be scheduled for another month or so for releasing. I was there at exactly 8am and no. 33 na kagad ako. Nothing new mainit, mabagal ang usad ng pila. But to my surprise, after 2 1/2 hours, I received my driver's license valid for 5 years.

Tried getting my plastic... daming tao. I asked the checker if I'll be able to get my plastic, sabi niya yung sa haba ng pila, 5 pm if I were lucky. Yung problem kasi sa bago ng mga machines for the 5 year cards, kailangan ulitin ang application process manually, including picture taking. I turned around and left. Since 2021 pa naman ang expiration sa resibo, will wait for the backlog to disappear.

If that is the case, it's either LTO conveyed things badly during the press con, or this is just one bad news reporting:

Sisimulan ang pamamahagi ng mga bagong lisensiya alas-8:30 ng umaga, sa LTO Central Office sa East Avenue, Quezon City.

Natapos na kasi ang pag-iimprenta ng mga lisensiya na gawa ngayon sa polycarbonate plastic.

If the printing is already done, and if the license cards are being distributed already, I don't understand why we all have to endure LTO's process all over again.

I renewed my DL last August 31, 2016........the OR is valid as temporary DL until the card is issued.

Renewed my license...lasted for less than 15 minutes...paid P600++ and given OR for 5 years.

They stamped my OR "valid until 10/XX/2021", asked me to sign Plastic Card released list...

And returned my old plastic card. Does this mean I won't be issued a new card anymore and need to show the OR and the old plastic everytime???

Why did you sign the plastic card released list? My understanding from your post was that you were only issued an Official Receipt that's stamped valid until 2021, but no plastic card.

Nakuha ko pa old plastic card ko along with the new OR with stamp.

Also, balikan ko daw after 4 months.

My bad, should have been: And they returned my old plastic card.

So I got my old card and the OR...

They didn't tell me when to comeback for a new card that I paid for.
