I guess yan ang mangyayari. so around 700 pesos for 5 years. yung 3 years nga, nasa 420-something pesos na.

Starting next month, the government will extend the validity of driver’s licenses to five years to lessen queues at the Land Transportation Office (LTO), officials said yesterday.

At present, professional and non-professional driver’s licenses are valid only for three years.

“By Sept. 19, those who will renew their licenses in the National Capital Region will have five-year validity,” Cherie Mercado, spokesperson of the Department of Transportation (DOT) said.

The LTO will initially implement the five-year validity of driver’s licenses in Metro Manila next month.

The rest of the regions will follow in October, Mercado said.
