Yung mga bagong sasakyan lang bibigyan ng bagong plates hindi ma kasama ang mga may plates na

so kung ubos na ang lahat ng combination ng 3 characters + 3 digits = 351 520 000 combinations

351 520 000 valid plates x lets say 3000/yr registration == PHP 1 054 560 000 000... may god help us...

Take note, hindi naman lahat ng 351M na yun eh gamit na. Wala pa nga tayong Q and I plates, kung hindi tayo nagkakamali. At yun mga combinations natin ay noon pag 3-4 decades ago

your computation is wrong. remember the first letter denotes the region ---
A - region 1
B - region 2
C - region 3
D - region 4
E - region 5
etc etc
S - government vehicles
T - PUV in NCR
U - issued before to PUV in NCR, now being issued to private vehicles, lapit na din maubos
N- national capital region. naubos na matagal na
V, W, X, Z - NCR, ubos na din
Y was never used, probably because it is easy to confuse with T or X from a distance
Q was also not used, easy to confuse with letter O, but now being used as a middle or last letter. wala pa ko nakita na Q as 1st letter, meron ba?

Y plates are common in Mindanao area. Sa Iligan, there are several vehicles na Y ang start ng plaka. Yun iba daw na Y sabi eh galing Cebu.

Ang wala pa talaga ay Q and I as starting plates, pwera nalang kung pinasadya yun plaka.

I remember our old plate during the 80s - the combination was 999-9X..

I wish LTO was a little more creative than doing an XXX-9999 combo, mas ok sana 9XXX-999X, or something na iba. . .

Pwede rin Euro plates.
