Next plan sa MRT is gagawin munang bus rapid system. Theyre in talks with big bus companies ngayon to provide the buses that will tun on the mrt tracks.
So while buses are running, aayusin na rin daw ang tracks and signalling system. Aayusin na rin daw yung new coaches from china para maging compaitble

After suing Sumitomo, gov’t hiring it for MRT-3
GOTCHA By Jarius Bondoc (The Philippine Star) |
    Updated February 5, 2018 - 12:00am

    xxx

DOTr’s complaint against Sumitomo’s poor maintenance work is little known in the Philippines. It was filed in Singapore by DOTr Sec. Joseph Abaya on May 31, 2016, a month before leaving office.

Present Sec. Arthur Tugade is continuing the case. DOTr pays tens of millions of dollars, or hundreds of millions of pesos, for foreign lawyers. The legal fees are taken from Filipino taxpayers, who will also shoulder the loan from Japan to hire Sumitomo.

The case is in arbitration at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, based in the island-state. Proceedings of the UN-CITL are strictly confidential. It is talked about only in whispers at DOTr.

    xxx

Sources say Abaya revived the arbitration at the 11th hour to cover his tracks. He and predecessor Mar Roxas had caused Sumitomo’s sudden removal in Oct. 2012. It was replaced by a series of unqualified, inept, undercapitalized outfits: PH Trams, then Global Epcom, and lastly Busan Universal Railway Inc. (BURI). Behind all three were Liberal Party mates of Abaya and Roxas, who served as LP presidents.

At least P3.5 billion was paid to the three LP companies from 2012 to 2017. They only took the money but did not maintain MRT-3, overhaul the trains, or buy necessary parts and components. Insiders say they even used up $17 million (P850 million) in parts and equipment left behind by Sumitomo in 2012.

Records show there were glitches during Sumitomo’s time, but minor and infrequent compared to the LP contractors and the present.
It fielded up to 21 trains at five-minute intervals, serving 560,000 riders. Although MRTC got Sumitomo under a build-lease-transfer scheme, DOTr directly paid the Japanese $1.2 million to $1.4 million a month. In suing MRTC, Abaya in effect also sued the government, which in 2011, had taken over ten of its 15 board seats.

Sumitomo was the single point of responsibility to repair all subsystems and procure all parts. It supposedly charged little but staked its reputation in MRT-3 in order to bag other train contracts in Asia and America.

The dalian train coaches are taken hostage due to POLITICS because its an achievement of the yellows

When tugade claims that train components are being ordered to improve MRT3 thats a LIE because the current train coaches were made in czech republic and it had long ceased production already

So when political solution is applied to technical problems, then youll have an inkling that things will get WORSE before it gets any better

I was able to watch the news about the GM of MRT that was grilled by the goons in congress headed by Mr. Panty Alvarez. Mr. GM said that the dalian trains can be retrofitted or something to fit in the system, but Mr. Panty kept on insisting that it is not compatible with a very commanding force, i was thinking who is more qualified to qualify the new trains, a person inside the company itself (not sure if he's an engineer) or a womanizer congressman that runs a mafia inside congress.

I also wonder where will they get parts that supposedly be coming this Feb. sabi nga it had long ceased production and the trains is already obsolete. baka nagpa machine shop sila sa china, their mighty savior.

The engineer was simply intimidated by the threat of babaerong alvarez..after all alvarez did threaten to have his license revoke..pretty much the ZERO budget threat

A politicking LAWYER is in no position when it comes to TECHNICAL matters..thats why it will get WORSE before it gets any better

These administration will continue lying and malign their detractors

Its just a matter of time before their lies get back to them

even if everything else is "fixed", the fact that the bagons are overweight,
and assuming the concrete supports are strong enough,
we will probably end up having to replace the rails "more often than usual", for the rest of the bagons' lives.

^If they could lie about about a simple spare parts importation

Dont you think they could be lying in all their previous press release that dalian train coaches are useless and unsafe?

I wonder what will you do with your old and creaky car?

Wont you replace it with a new car or simply buy surplus spare parts?

    Hay nako.

First and last na to promise.

My car was ok. The chief mechanic was ok. Dealership decides to change mechanic to a newbie. Now my car isn't ok and breaks down in the middle of EDSA. Dealership can't find parts for my car but they still charge me the same for everything. Now the dealership wants to hire the chief mechanic back. But I still paid for all that crap the past few years.

    Bwisit.

    Can I get a refund?

    Bwisit.
