I don't know if modifying plate numbers are against the law, i saw some sports car that had their license plates painted from the old white/green to white/black and didn't paint the footer (Philippines 2000).

Is it against the law to "modify" your plates? even if you're just going to modify the footer of the plate and not the numbers/letters? because i heard some of my friends wanting to "personalize" the footer of the plate by placing their names or something.

it is.. but not too many MMDAs and traffic enforcers apprehend violators at sight. But MAPSA observes this as well.. even stickers lang, papatanggal kasi bawal talaga. P200 fine, if caught.

some just use a plate number cover, then yun ung mino-mod. un pede yun, wag lang masyadong maraming area ng visible plate ang matatakpan, kundi huli ka pa ren.

btw, ung aken, footer lang ren. nilagyan ko dati ng nissan decals.
    nde ako tinuluyan, pero pinatanggal.

Bawal i-modify ang plaka ng sasakyan.... Kaso, walang nanghuhuli.

A few days ago, I was following a Montero along C5 Road. The color of the letters and numbers was changed from green to white so you cannot see his plate number

    Manghuli naman kayo!!!
