Here is the right of Americans to enjoy DIY'ing change oil and other fluids their vehicles. Or in the least, PICK their own favored oil/brand

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuso...s_Warranty_Act

    http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bu...#Magnuson-Moss

Did a search, only 3 results and its buried within the threads. kaya ito inilabas ko sa thread title.

Kasi planning to buy the Montero VGT, pero na iinis ako sa nababasa ko may mga memo etc, na ma void warranty ng vehicle pa ipilit mo choice of oil mo kahit it follows the recommendation of the owner's manual. Dapat bilhin mo expensive oil nila kahit lower spec/rating vs. sa choice of oil ng owner, or else...

Ang tanong eh kung may ganyang rule din applicable dito sa Pinas. Tingin ko if we follow the reco of the manual, puwede ipaglaban yan sa casa. Casa lang naman sila, hindi mismo ang manufacturer di ba? Hope somebody here could shed light on the matter.

sa diamond motors (q. ave)....pms 1k, nagdala ako ng sariling oil (semi-synthetic)..hindi sila umangal, tinanong lang ako pasok ba daw sa specs ng manual ung oil na dala ko and then ok na and also i brought my own oil filter (vic)...kagalingan pa nun andun ako sa service bay area while they are doing the change oil and other things.

then on this upcoming 5k pms ko, fully synthetic na.

union motors (paco and kalokohan este kalookan pala)....mabub*rat ka!.....the usual litanya na mavoid warranty mo, etc. para lang maibenta un oil nila sayo.

I have a Monty and use Motul CRDi Specific. Wala naman conflicts with warranty per my SA.

ang message ko is, kung claim ng casa/dealership is kung gagamit ka ng "owners" oil na hindi binili sa kanila ma-void vehicle warranty backup nila ng head office memo or Service Bulletin or ano man tawag duon na masama talaga sa brand/type/model ng unit mo. (sa US law naito na point out sa tie-in provisions)

examples i kinda recall is; yun Besco a must for Trooper crdi (XJ? engine) or yun sa PSG nissan patrol dapat mineral oil lang. (not 100% on the examples)

Its good mga Mitsu owners nag contribute sa discussion kasi reactions at examples nila ang gusto ko malaman (planning for a Montero VGT)

    Thanks.

it is only the dealership lines and they cannot back it up with a memo coming from MMPC....for as long your oil has the viscosity rating indicated in the car manual, wala problem dun...nagmamarunong kasi yang mga SA dealership na yan.
