Last Sunday night (10/22/2017) sa isang checkpoint sa Araneta Center (Aurora Blvd.), pinara ako ng mga taga HPG dahil napansin nila ang roof lights ko (4 na bilog) at LED bar (32 inches) na nasa bumper behind the nudge bar.

While hindi ko naman sila gamit nung pinara nila ako (only used when travelling at night to either Pampanga or Tagaytay), they asked me to test it and obviously nasilaw sila. I told them kung bakit ako meron at kung san ko sila gamit. Because I was able to explain myself clearly sa mga pulis checkpoint, they just gave me a warning na baka hulihin ako at tanggalan sa ibang checkpoints...

TV Patrol: 177 motoristang may LED lights, wang-wang sa sasakyan, hinuli - YouTube

In addition, they suggested a solution na lagyan ko nalang ng cover ang LED lights ko while driving in the city para daw pag pinara man ako uli, mas justified na di ko talaga sila ginagamit para daw di makapangsilaw...therefore pag nasa dark roads nako ng Pampanga o Tagaytay ay saka ko lang tanggalin ang light covers at ibalik pag tapos ng gamitin.

(^ my LED light bar is located similar to this one.)

Pardon my ignorance...ano na bang latest?!

or maybe he can go old school. i remember before iyong mga black vinyl light covers gamit ng kc brand na fog lights. ayos din ang dating although i guess it won't be as easy to remove and replace as the plastic ones. i'm sure meron gumagawa niyan somewhere

On the PNP-HPG, lam ko kasama sila sa enforcement ng mga LTO memorandum. So pwede sila manghuli.

sa totoo lang... they really should be covered when not being driven in the appropriate environment. it's too easy to turn them on...
the responsible accessories light manufacturer, should have manufactured and sold the product, already with cover included.
the irresponsible... what can i say?

DRL? kelan ba ako na-silaw ng DRL?

driving with only DRL at night? dapat nga, sitahin yan.
    heh heh.

Can anybody here give me a downloadable link that points me to the latest LTO-HPG-PNP regulations on LED and fog lamps?

Although warning lang, bawal daw ang set up ng mga auxillary lights sa pickup ko: 2 fog lamps (yellow LED) at 2 white LEDs (non-blinkers & 6 bulbs each) - both are mounted on my truck's bull bar and are below the head lights; another 2 fog lamps (H3 halogen, yellow) on its roof.

Am I guilty or not? TIA

By conventional reasoning, bawal yan. It has no business on any public roads. The best compromise is to cover them up. Only remove the cover prior to going off-road, as required.
