sa totoo lang,
many of our uniformed services, as well as our civilian populace, do not seem to be auto savvy.
they do not realize that the plate was issued before the model came out.

but maybe, it is possible.
perhaps the lto up north had a slow-moving new car population, the plates weren't being issued as fast as down south, and it was one of the last to be issued...

Baka HPG lang at LTO enforcers ang may alam ng mga "codes" of the license plate. Year issued, province of origin etc.

Dati pag nakakita ako ng plaka starting with A sa Manila, alam ko galing Baguio or North yun.

unit purchased march 2016 still no plate and no assigned plate number. pinasilip namin sa system ng lto dun sa kakilala namin para malaman sana coding day pero wala pa naka assign. yung kaibigan namin special plate kinuha may plaka na nauna lang ng ilang months samin

Ah bago car ba, yung luma car ko January 2013 ako nagbayad sa new plate pero ngayong january 2018 hinahanap ko wala pa daw.
Yung bago car ko July 2016 binili ngayong august 2018 meron na daw di ko pa kinukuha tinatamad pako nasa Batangas kukunin mas gusto ko pa europlate

Plate Release Date: Not yet available as of Oct. 12, 2018

Comment: More than a year later, plates for my 2017 ride are still not available.

No "First come, First served" at the LTO, yeah?

P.S. You can now request the ending number again (for color coding purposes) as long as you inform your sales agent and he informs the LTO ahead of time.

P.P.S. I know the request is free of charge, on paper. But in reality, you still have to give grease money. Up to you if you want to shell out or not. No one's forcing anyway.

I got mine after 17 months (2017 model). But my uncle's car (2016 model) hasn't arrived yet. Walang first-come first-served sa LTO. so most likely my uncle's car will get a more recent serial number.
