Illegal drag racing wawalisin ng TMG

Ipinawawalis na ni PNP-Traffic Management Group (PNP-TMG) Director Errol Pan ang mga illegal drag racing sa iba’t ibang panig ng Metro Manila na nagiging lugar ng pagkamatay ng maraming indibidwal sa aksidente sa mga lansangan.

"Were acting on a specific instruction from President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and PNP Chief Director General Oscar Calderon," pahayag ni Pan.

Kinumpirma ni Pan na ang drug racers sa Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, Macapagal Avenue sa Roxas Blvd. at sa kabahaan ng Libis at C-5 Road sa Quezon City ay pansamantalng tumigil dahil sa mga pag-ulan dulot ng mga nagdaang bagyo sa bansa.

Sinabi ni Pan na pinababantayan na niya ang naturang lugar para hulihin ang mga drag racers na nagsisimula sa kanilang aktibidades mula alas-10 ng gabi hanggang alas-2 ng madaling-araw.

"We want to put a stop on both drag racing and reckless driving in Metro Manila. We’ll be issuing traffic citation tickets on the abusive motorists as part of our campaign," dagdag pa ng opisyal. (Angie de la Cruz)

i usually go home 2-5am kapag weekend nights... 100-140kph ang avg ko... may mga mgagandang police cars din ang pilipinas na nanghahabol... may kasabay ako ng bmw one time hinabol siya tapos may sumunod na mga vios police cars... after nun nakita ko 80 na lang average ko... minsan na lang ako lumalagpas ng 120-140

fyi: may bmw bikes ang mga police for special missions... nakakatakot kung ito hahabol sa atin... hehehehe

This has happened before...

Initially there will be some "action" taken like cop cars positioned at places where drag races happen.

Later, the cops just sleep in the car while all the drag racers happily race around them. Or the cops get some "allowance" from some of the big time racers and look the other way.

Much later, the cops stop going to the races.

Sometimes (like once every month), the cops might visit the racers with blinker and sirens blaring. The racers just scramble into their cars and take off in all directions. After 30-60 minutes, the drag racers go back and continue the races.

Seen it happen, since I was an illegal drag racer for a couple of years.

I dont thing that vios is a nice car for a police well for philippines it migth be good enough pero pang habol nako parang isang motor laban sa bike Perfect exaple ito> vios police cars hahabulin ang BMW.Ganito nito lng yan kng sa america nga eh di nila ma-ubos ang illegal drag-racing d2 pa kaya Diba?

Imagine, a VIOS 1.3L police car with loaded 4 cops trying to chase down a Civic SiR fully modded bumper to bumper for dragracing. Most of the drag cars can reach 0-100kph in under 8 seconds. By the time the VIOS gets to 100kph, the civic will be long gone from view.
