To the folks getting out of Ortigas/Megamall NB

Hinarangan na ng HPG yung yung yellow lane, you can't swerve to the flyover.

Hindi ko alam san pwede mag merge yung mga galing ng inner lanes going inside to ADB. Siguro kapag umaga lang siya bubuksan.

I saw the barriers 1pm today.

Nung mga 9:30am, wala pa yun.

Cant blame them bro, it gets clogged kasi due to those intersections.

Pero mali pa din na isara, lalo na kung hindi ka aware hahaha

Daily pet peeve ko, pauwi I use edsa NB. For the nth time ko na ata nabanggit ito.

Vehicles (bus/private) wala na pinagkaiba. They will use the yellow lane, tapos bigla kabig sa paanan ng tulay para pumanik.

Grabe maka box out ang bus, wala kang palag mawawala ka sa picture. Minsan I stand my ground, minsan no choice ka na to give way.

At before going up the bridge, guess what. Yes may HPG / MMDA.

    Facepalm!

Which is a problem now. The HPG seems to have gotten the MMDA habit of standing around after the fact like a human pylon, waving at traffic, instead of actively handling traffic flow, preventing and apprehending violators. It's a tough job understandably so increasing trained manpower and manage rotations well to keep the enforcers up to speed and not work them out is vital in the long run.

I take back what I said.

Last night, 6pm. They removed the barriers again, allowing traffic to merge near Guadix.

I guess the reason for this is the drainage rehab infront of megamall.

30 minutes from SM megamall parking to EDSA service road!

Did they make a huge improvement ever since they start managing it? How long?

It's a mix. EDSA moves well enough once you are in (typically between Makati and White Plains/Santolan for me), but overall, travel time has gotten worse because of the terrible traffic on trying to access EDSA, and at certain points such as EDSA - Santolan.

That's the problem, they offloaded the traffic to side roads. So if the question is, "Has EDSA's traffic situation improved?", they can answer affirmatively. However, it hasn't reduced the total travel time of motorists from their houses to their offices.

Of course, the HPG will say that the side roads are no longer their problem as they're focused on EDSA. And then we have the blame game all over again. [emoji19]

Bad trip. Even with my new route, my commute to work got extended by thirty minutes since HPG put in new barriers to prevent those coming from Connecticut to merge to EDSA to take the lane going to the flyover. 😠

That slip onto EDSA SB Ortigas flyover is usually open, unless the EDSA flyover is full. Today it was bad and it was closed. I'm figuring the traffic was pretty slow early one as i saw a couple of fender benders and one broken vehicle.

What's new for me lately is that at 10 in the evening on a Sunday, traffic on EDSA was still quite... traffic.

Even the opening from the service road SB to the flyover was shut. So tawid ako ng EDSA -Ortigas where the traffic light was slow. 😡 There's no consistency so you're left guessing on a day to day basis.

That's the hard part. Every day, we're all guessing.
