Yeah that it so true. Di pwede kampante. These things happen even in villages with tight security. I know of an incident before na cars parked on the street at the village were being stolen. They could not find any breach in the security and could not trace the stolen vehicles exiting the village, yun pala the carnappers rented a house within the village and would make the modifications/changes in the rented house!
We also sold our civic to a guy who had his car stolen inside their garage! He lives at a village in the south with tight security too. I have friends who live there and they don't even lock their houses so I was surprised to learn about what happened to the guy's car. That was what prompted us to lock our gate at night.
Kaya TS, a car is a huge amount of money, don't risk it.

Sa amin, supposedly secured yung village, na-carnap pa yung SUV nung isang mataas na opisyal pa nung time ni GMA (this happened during GMA's tenure). I guess the carnapper wanted his hard-earned tax money back.
May several cases of break-ins na rin, stolen mirrors, center caps. Recently also, we suspect that someone tried to break into our own home.Last edited by vinj; July 1st, 2013 at 03:10 PM.

Worse case, nawala kotse mo, eh di nganga.

it's been a long time problem of ours too. sa looban at dulo pa kami ng maliit na eskinita.
but before i got my first ride. i made sure na may mapaparadahan ako. ini-upa namin monthly for 500 (lot was eventually repurposed) then sa ibang lugar na 7-10 minute walk 1000 then nagtaas up to1500 for a covered and secured parking (na may curfew). we also got a nearby slot (no curfew) pero may caveat na pag biglaang malakas na ulan, bumabaha pero 500 pesos lang.
ts, have you considered buying a scoot or an underbone instead of car?

must have parking space. unless be prepared to endure magically appearing dents, scratches and dirt on your car. also san ba location ng current apartment mo ngayon? kung madaming tambay sa inyo lagot. automatic nagiging pader para sandalan ng mga tambay ang sasakyan. we have parking space in our house but yung iba naming sasakyan sa labas na nakapark since hindi na kasya sa loob, ilang beses na kami nanakawan ng side mirror and just recently one of our van was carnapped and this was parked just beside our gate.
also you're getting a new car? im sure hindi ka makakatulog sa gabi kakaisip nasa labas oto mo.
suggest ko if you really want a car - convince your rent mates to move to a new one with parking space. sabihin mo pwede kayo magparty sa parking space

"also you're getting a new car? im sure hindi ka makakatulog sa gabi kakaisip nasa labas oto mo.
