I drink 3 beers here in the US when Im in a bar and drive, but have never been stopped. Even if ur BAL is 0.01% doesn't matter... if your driving erraticaly, they will stop you. Depends on your tolerance. They have breath analyzers here and put checkpoints during holidays esp thanksgiving.

DUI. Good that he only had minor bruises. Although 0.06 is quite low IMO (baka 1 shot lang ng vodka yan e), better be safe than sorry.

AL-2500 Personal Digital Alcohol Detector Breathalyzer $29.95 on eBay.

a BAC of 0.05% is considered DUI sa USAF.

kailangan din sigurong bumili para sa sarili to keep it handy... baka mas mababa ang calibration na gagawin para sa mga traffic enforcer... hehehe

Sa South Australia, legal limit is 0.05% pag full license. 0% pag provisional or learner's license ka pa lang. I think, pareho din sa ibang states.

Most police forces use breathalyser units to test a driver's BAC.

Yung mga commercial breathalyser units na nabibili sa ebay, etc. are usually calibrated to a country's specific standard, especially the cheap ones. Most that I have seen have only 2 LED lights, red and green.

At gaya ng sabi ng mga tao dito, your BAC depends on a number of factors. Take 1 drink every hour and have a full stomach. This will let your body process the alcohol properly.

Better yet: if you're going to drive, don't drink. If you drink, don't drive. It's that simple.

    Baka OT:
Yun bang sending sms while driving e may law na din? Sa experience kasi natin, at 0.06% blood-alcohol level e very coherent pa at active ang driver. Samantalang if you send an sms while driving e mas delikado pa kasi your eyes are not fixed on the road, patingin-tingin ka sa text msgs mo. Tama yung 2 to 3 bottles of regular beer and an ordinary Filipino man already exceeds 0.06%.

Hehehe. I doubt na gamitin nila yan brother.

This is half nice...
