Unlike the service Hilux, may audible sound sya pag nag exceed ka sa 120 kph

Pero map based yun.

I don't think that is a radar detector.

I don't hog the left most lane just to be clear myself.

Ibig sabihin yung speed mo is always above 100 kph.

The rule is that the left-most lane is for OVERTAKING purposes only. In the first place, hindi mo kelangan magbabad sa left-most lane kahit pa 100KPH na takbo mo.

It can be that the faster-moving vehicle (more than 100KPH) is overtaking another vehicle but can't do so because the overtaking lane is occupied by vehicles running at 100KPH only.

100KPH is the speed limit, and the left-most lane is the over-taking lane. Technically, one should not overtake a vehicle running at 100KPH already. But then again, even if running at 100KPH already, that vehicle should not stay in the overtaking lane because other vehicles may temporarily use 100KPH+1 when overtaking.

Kaya nga passing lane is passing lane.

    Re: GPS detecting speed camera?

Nope, map-based po yan. Walang sensor. Try mo yung "TRIP DEMO" at, kung dadaan ka ng expressway, magproprompt sya ng 'there is a speed camera' message or something like that...

I read in another website na pede daw Overtaking Speed: 110kph; 120kph allowed within 30-60 seconds. Or is this not true?

To be safe, I wouldn't go pass 100kph na lang. Besides, speed radars would only get your instantaneous speed and not your average speed. How can you argue that you have only gone beyond 110kph for say 10 seconds?

Could work both ways. Precisely the same reason ayaw nila ng argument with the driver.

The point of road rules is to improve traffic flow and uphold road safety.

In the case where you have a guy hogging the left lane, with a guy going over the speed limit behind him, I believe the appropriate way to judge it is to who is more prone to cause traffic build up and who is a bigger threat to road safety.

The car hogging the left lane blocks any car who wishes to overtake, and if it happens that both the left and the right lane have cars going at the same speed, then you risk impeding traffic right there.

And because you clogged the lane that was supposed to be open (the leftmost overtaking lane), then you also pose the risk of faster cars having to slam their brakes and rear-ending you.

Whereas a guy going at 120 to overtake on the left lane yet keeps a safe distance from the cars around him and goes back to the right lane after overtaking doesn't really pose a safety threat (assuming of course he's not driving faster than what he can handle) nor does he block traffic (unless he cuts the cars he overtakes).

That's the point! I think 80% of these high beaming drivers probably at 120 kph don't return to the right lane after the cars in front of them let them pass. They usually just stay in the left lane as well but at 120 kph. LOL

Douchey yes, but assuming he stays at 120 on the left lane, he doesn't exactly impede traffic anyway. Not unless someone doing 140 comes up behind him, then he'll be blocking that guy's path. But if not, then traffic stays smooth for all.

This reiterates my point that a guy going over the speed limit is actually less of a risk than a slow idiot who hogs the left lane:

Because some drivers don't know the rules on road they just know how to drive. So effin lame in express ways when outer lanes are not full and the overtaking lane is with a guy feeling his car at 100kph and no one is in front of him. Lols

Sa SLEX di ko kabisado I was going 100kph na im in the overtaking lane lahat nalalagpasan
