i just renewed my 2 licenses last week. way overdue na pareho by 2-1/2 years so had to pay penalties.

    3. madami babayaran.
    - firearms bond P240-P300 depends on caliber. may resibo.
    - notarial fee or something, forgot basta dun sa second floor, P100. may resibo din.
    - dahil overdue na sa akin, had to pay a "affidavit", P100. or was it P200. a basta may binayaran ako dun sa 2nd floor hehehe. walang resibo yan.
    - license, P1200 yata yung .380acp then P1500 yung .40sw, plus late registration penalties. total was P4300 for both guns. bayad sa landbank, dun na mismo sa loob ng FED. syempre may resibo.
    - ID fee, P100 per license. may resibo din.

total processing time was 2 hours, could be less if your license is not expired.

sa 4 di yata pwede kasi overheard ko yung isa dun sabi personal appearance daw dapat or thru licensed agent/gun store ang renewal, di pwede by proxy.

    5, 6 & 7, yan ang wala akong idea.

    1. kahit saang gunstore pwede
    2. same lang ng pag bili ng bago
    - 4pcs 2x2 pic
    - 1pc 1x1 pic
    - 2 valid id's ( minsan pwede na 1 lang)
    3. depende sa gunstore nasa 3k pataas pero not more than 7k
    4. pwede naman, ikaw na lang mag fill up ng form
    5. same sa no.2
    6. same process lang ng pagbili ng new unit, minsan hinahanapan ng deed of sale
    7. same sa no. 2

    1. you have three choices...go directly at FED, Camp Crame to process it yourself, gunstore or licensed agent to process it in your behalf
    2. as mentioned above by the 2 posts
    3. if at FED at least you'll be aware of the numerous payments and legal transactions done there while at gunstore or licensed agent if i'm not mistaken something like 3k - 4k depends on the agreement (higher cost coz of the non-appearance and hassle of doing it yourself just your requirements and signature, thats it)
    4. yes you can but the options available is thru gunstore or licensed agent w/ the same requirements as above
    5. same as yours also
    6. same requirements on buying a new fa & renewal but w/ Deed of Absolute Sale and Police or NBI Clearance of the buyer
    7. mentioned above.

    HTH! goodluck...

If you have time, go to FED in Crame. Best go on Tue to Thursday morning. It is pretty straight forward. Just got to the counter that has a sign saying renewal. Bring 2 pictures, forgot if you need 2x2 or 1x1. They will tell you what to do, step by step. Should take around 2 to 4 hours. You will get your id card same day. Total cost was around 1500 (did it almost 2 years ago so cant remeber the exact amount).

If thru gun store, expect about a month before you get the id and at least double the price.

I prefer renewing by myself. Its easy, cheap and I'm sure that there are no errors and that its genuine. Had an experiecnce where the gunstore mispelled my name. Had to go to FED to corrrect it so I figured I'll just do the renewals myself.
