Hi po mga masters. Just wanted take a chance baka po may nakakaalam sa inyo how we can go around this issue.

The car has already been paid fully but the bank does not want to release the chattel mortgage, original OR/CR, car key and so on because the person who owns the car has a pending debt from the same bank where he got the car as installment. Unfortunately, the car owner died leaving the debt unpaid and the car is still with the bank. Several attempts were made to get the chattel release from the bank but to no avail. I wont be disclosing the bank's name as there might be a legal sanction of some sort .

Anybody has a bright idea on how we can solve this nightmare?

My last hunch is to ask from an attorney which I think is not the best option.

the narrator was willing to settle the debt, but the bank refused to disclose the details of the debt because of bank secrecy issues.

there should be a law to help innocent buyers...

Yes I also called the bank and they wont give us any info
