Early car registration renewal ? Does LTO allow this ?

Bumili ako ng car last aug. 2013. kailan ba dapat ang susunod na registration kung free ang 3 yrs LTO registration, nagtanong ako sa LTO las pinas ang sabi penalty na ako ng 2 yrs.

Ganyan din sa isa kong car na nabili ko ng july 2013 2 yrs penalty na raw .


Please advise.

Sell the car! If just for registration and license renewal meron ka na problema magbayad. Lalo na gasolina and maintenance. Commute ka na lang

Until di mo pa fully paid sa bank (i assume car loan), encumbered talaga yan.Once fully paid mo na,pa cancel mo na ang encumbered na yan sa register of deeds.

As to which or or cr you should bring to lto for renewal of registration,you should bring the latest.

TPL = P610 thru Cebuana Lhuillier
LTO = P2529

TOTAL = P3,589

butting in...
i do my lto renewal in two parts, in two separate days.
part 1: emissions test, insurance. i have mine done away from the lto, to avoid queueing, and also, sometimes, for cheaper price.
part 2: lto vehicle inspection, stenciling, and registration. i go at 3 pm. by then, the queueing hordes have gone.

but if TS wants to, he can do it all in less than 2 hours.
don't forget your early warning devices. baka hanapin.

lto allows registration 1 month in advance.

I went to LTO to inquire, mine will be due in 2nd week of march, after 3yrs free registration from casa.

I presented the photo copy my OR/CR with TPL and scribbled the computations and was glad to hear that I only need stencil and proceed to registration and doesn't need the emission test.

How about for cars without plate number on CR? Should I follow the same schedule using the CS#? How different is the process from brand new cars who have plate numbers? TIA

Sir, nakuha mo din agad yung TPL sa Lhuillier? Ende ba nila vina-validate yung plate # sa system ng LTO? after 3.5 years kasi hindi pa pala napa-update ng dealer yung plate # namen kaya hinde ako natapos kanina, worst magkaka penalty ako ng 200 kung hindi maihabol bukas yung update..

Father ko ang kumuha ng TPL from Cebuana. Pinadala ko lang ang xerox ng OR/CR. Nakuha nya rin agad. Not sure what is the procedure of Cebuana but it works for us. 3 cars na naparegister namin using TPL from Cebuana. HTH.

xerox is fine. mainly to make sure the details (name, model, numbers) are correct.
no one asks for the original CR, except for when the car is undergoing change owner woes.
they also ask for the previous tpl, to synchronize the dates.

the insuring agent should advise you when you can register. they have to upload the document before, kasi. there might be some delay, if the "system is down".

sm bills payment dept also offers tpl insurance na din. i think they have a joint agreement w/ federal insurance or phoenix insurance ata. i haven't tried it yet though pero baka next time since convenient din eh

Don na rin ako kukuha kasi, sa LTO lipa nasa 1K + alok nung mga nagaantay sa labas then me tinuro yung guard 850 daw, kaya sa cebuana na ako. kahit ma penalize ako next week ng 200 offset naman sa ma save ko.
