Driving with 1 Plate Missing...

Hi All, i recently just made a down payment to a certified pre-owned car from a reputable casa. I was informed though that one of the plates is missing. The sales guy told me that they would take care of getting the replacement plate etc, which is ok with me of course.

My question is can i drive the car around, and assuming i have the necessary paper work to back up that the replacement plate is on its way, how many times should i expect to be "stopped". Would this be a hassle? Any advise on what i can do to minimize this before i get the plates?

if I were you, move the remaining plate to the front.

Then make a cardboard or plastic temporary plate for the back. Make sure you have the documents to show that the replacement plates have been requested in your car if requested by the cops or mmda.

You'll need the LTO documents (O.R.) as proof that you requested duplicate plates in case you are apprehended.
