The Do's and Dont's when it comes to accident?

Mga sir question lang ano ba talaga ang mga DO and DONTs when it comes to accident?

Let's say may bumangga sa'yo sa likod or vise versa -

Kelangan ba ng police report para makapag claim ako sa insurance ko?
Do I need to surrender my license?
Paano pag sinabi ng other party na aregluhin na lang or insurance na nya bahala sa damage, is his phone number enough?

Dapat makuha mo participation fee agad kung aminado yung bumangga sa yo. Kumpirmahin mo yan sa harap ng pulis o aide at ipasulat mo yung pag amin nya pirmado saka xerox ng lisensya, bago kayo maghiwalay. Kunan litrato pwesto ng bangga na kita plaka saka kunan mo mukha nya at license

no need to surrender your license, but both parties may need to check if the license is valid (hindi expired).
yes, kailangan ng police report para maka claim ka sa insurance mo.
kung may aregluhan, make sure it is properly documented. may pinirmahan ang both parties. mas maganda nga kung ang aregluhan is sa harapan ng pulis (habang ginagawa ang accident/police report).
make sure you take pictures. maski yung license ng nakabangga sa iyo..

ang most of all, keep calm. hwag mag panic and hwag mag init ang ulo. kung major accident, make sure you and your passengers as well as the passengers and the driver of the other involved vehicles are ok muna...

kailangan ba pulis or pwede any gov't officer like mmda or local enforcer or bgy.kagawad perhaps? kasi iyan lagi nakikita na nagpapatrapik. Nagiintay ng pulis(?), kahit kaunti lng ang bangga.

I still have questions:

1.) Ang police report ba ginagawa sa presinto or on the spot pwede?

2.) Let's say sinabi ng naka bangga sa'yo na "Boss sorry nagmamadali ako, di ko na maantay ang pulis, ako na bahala sa lahat ng damages, ito contact number ko". Paano ito?

3.) This is kinda unrelated, what if napag tripan sasakyan mo, ginuhitan or nilagyan ng dent ng rugby boys sasakyan mo, kelangan pa ba ng police report para makapag claim sa insurance mo?

first check yourself and passenger for injury that might require medical attention. kung okay naman, get out of your car to check the damage and talk to the other party.

next is take pictures! dont move your car yet. make sure to get pictures first. get a picture around the scene, taking to consideration road signages, intersection, if you can get elevation, better. basta di mo kailangan picturr ng actual damage. dapat picture accident scene. this will greatly help investigation.

get a picture of the other driver's license. if you can settle right there, good. if you can ask for a policeman, better. dont move the cars yet until you get an agreement or a police comes.

if you choose to discuss, have everything documented and in writing. kahit sa tissue pwede yan. basta pirmado ng both parties.

use the data you have so you can process the police report sa insurance
