Hi mga sirs, we're sure that switching off our headlights during
traffic prolong the life of battery. Does it also extend the
lifespan / burning hours of halogen bulb? How about HID's?
Or frequent on and off only stresses those?

Ang dami nang threads na ganito.

Yes I switch them off at traffic lights.
*Para alam ng ibang sasakyan na nakahinto ako (not foolproof, just look at the jeepneys)

I also set the parking brake and take my foot off the brake pedal para hindi din naman masilaw yung kasunod ko.

certainly it will prolong the life (burning hours of gas or filament)if you switch it off.

if it's really severe traffic, i switch to park lights lang not totally off. para consideration lang sa motorista sa harapan ko.

Ditto. It's really tiring to have headlights shining in your rear view mirror.

In slow moving traffic, I use my foglights instead of headlights, and turn on the headlights once I'm going more than 20 km/h.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Do you switch off headlight during traffic?
