Difference between NON-PRO and PRO license?

So is there a disadvantage of getting a pro license?

From the way I understand it, a pro license holder can do anything a non-pro license holder can do (assuming they have the same restrictions). But a non-pro cannot drive a vehicle used for commercial purposes (i.e. jeepney, UV express).

yun nga po sir. 17 din po ako nung kumuha ako license. kaya non pro lang ang makukuha. naguguluhan po ako kung kailangan kumuha ng pro para makapagdrive ng truck. minsan kasi kulang driver. hehe

kung mga L300, (close van or the FB) pwede naman, pero yung mga canter/elf, lalo na yung mga 6wheeler, kailangan na ng pro,

kuha na lang kayo sir dct ng pro license para sigurado, siguro naman gagastos man kaunti sa pagkuha ng license, pero bawi naman yan pag nag-drive ka na truck for business.. (profit)

Hindi po pwede mag-drive ang non-pro sa mga commercial vehicles (yellow plate) kahit walang passenger and travelling from one point to another.. (public road)

kung sa sariling area naman (home garage), pwede naman i-drive..hehe

Depende. If you work as a driver you need pro.
Pero if hindi naman driver nature of work mo, kung kunyare sales agent ka and you drive. Non pro should do

if you derive income directly from driving, then you have to have a pro DL.
if you drive to get from place to place where you do your income-generating activity, a non-pro DL is fine.
but beyond certain vehicle size/weight/wheel number, a pro is required, i think.
