Good move siguro in theory, pero mangyayari lang dito parang headlight use ng PUVs. Pag tingin mo, may dashcam kuno pero either cardboard cutout lang pala, walang SD Card or hindi nakasaksak hehehe.

Either that, or they will require a certain brand/model of dashcam imported/produced by your friendly neighborhood politician.

If they could pull all my dashcam footage in months past... dami ko nang videos of police escorted vehicles flaunting the law.

Baka tandem law ito dapat alongside the immunity of politician vehicles from "minor traffic violations"...

IMO...

Jeeps and Tricycles - no need, driver's can't secure their vehicles, kawawa lang drivers who will need to pay their operators if the dashcam gets stolen.

Bus and Trucks - should be required, pati CCTV sa loob (ng bus) for security

Taxi/TNV/UV Express - required, para may evidence tayong makuha if a taxi refuses passengers (may audio recording)

Private cars - would be nice kung required by law para dealership na bahala mag install/mag tago ng wires.

More HD cameras on the road will be better kasi it will be like having a CCTV almost everywhere.

Hopefully, mabawasan din small crimes...

Maganda to. Kahit pa sabihin nyong may kikita nanaman ng malaki dito, maganda itong batas na to.

Deterrent yan sa mga kupal sa daan dahil alam nilang naka video na sila kahit saan.

tanggalin na muna lahat ng mga pedicab na de motor sobrang dami dito sa manila..pasok pa ng pasok sa mga 1 way.at sugod ng sugod kahit na may kasalubong sarap barilin...sila na itong colorum at mga walang rehistro at lisensya sila pa itong siga sa kalsada..

Im all for this. More video evidence on the road to deter idiots and crime. Or if it doesnt deter them, at least give evidence so we can fine/catch them.

Will the LTO be using the captured videos of erring drivers as proof of violation (non-contact apprehension)? Kung hindi, magiging useless din ang batas na ito.
