Traffic counter flow along Ortigas extension every morning rush hour was stopped recently. I am guessing that it was because of the President's directive na 'walang counter-flow'.

But isn't the president referring to government officials who goes 'counter-flow' and use 'wang-wang"? And not 'counter flow' as an additional lane to ease traffic flow every rush hour, as what was done along ortigas extension?

Does any of you guys know anything about this? This has been a big pain for everyone who uses this route every morning. It has added about 30mins to the travel time every morning.

The usual misinterpretation bro. Give it a few more weeks or a month and everything should be back to normal. Yun nga lang at the expense of us who makes use of that road. Good thing my work location doesn't require me to use Rosario/Ortigas extension.

Siguro epekto nang sinabi ni Pnoy...but they should review na baka pwede i-exempt tong sa Ortigas extension...Danas ko ang traffic sa Ortigas Ext. kaya sana bigyan nila ng exemption kung wala man sana magkaroon sila ng scheme to ease traffic jam sa lugar na to....

OT: Pag sinuwerte ka from Cainta Junction to C5 flyover 10mins lang pag inabot mo ang "one-way"

Yung sinasabi kaseng counter-flow ni Pnoy eh yung counter flow ng mga opisyales naten na "rumeresponde" daw sa mga emergencies and not counterflows that are made to ease the traffic especially the area mentioned by the TS.

OT din. *chrismarte: Mukhang pareho tayo huh? Cainta-nova din ako. Ako taga-Cainta tapos gf ko taga Nova/Fairview. Hehe!

*sigh.. i still am hoping that the guys who run traffic here 'really' did not take it literally na 'walang counter-flow'.. ang babaw naman nila kung ganun.

traffic managers here have to think beyond counter flow as traffic along ortigas extension is a nightmare, especially going towards junction-tikling area during afternoons/evenings.

And, while you're enjoying your 10minutes or more, with the "one-way" street, have you ever thought of the opposite traffic sitting idle for the same period of time?...

The traffic enforcers have to think beyond "counterflow"....

You'll know what we're talking about sir once you get to that area. Panahon pa ni "who knows who" yung congested traffic along Ortigas extension. There is no other solution but road widening which is not easy to do with all the commercial establishments at road side. And by the way, motorists doesn't initiate the counterflow just because they want to. Traffic enforcers are there to man the flow of traffic and call the counterflow if deemed necessary (uhmm.. everyday?).

There's counter-flow too along Alabang-Zapote road, but it's controlled counterflow with the men in orange waving cars along whilst listening to their walkie-talkies.

Controlled counter-flow is fine, but when one car counter-flows and everyone follows that's what causes even more traffic, and sucks especially if you're waiting patiently in your lane.

sir i respect your opinion :2thumbsup:

bt the traffic enforcer knows what they are doing, coz after the "10mins counter flow" ok na ang traffic yung bumper to bumper nagiging moderate to slow na ulit....from junction cainta to c-5 flyover vice versa

After 30-1hr mag papa "counter flow" na sila ulit kasi barado nanaman sa ever ortigas

    *peace
