Guys tanong ko lang. almost 1 year ko na hindi nareredeem yung license ko sa MMDA. pwede kaya ako kumuha ng bagong license na lang, sabihin ko lost license? pareho ba ang records ng mmda at LTO, meaning kung mmda ang nakahuli sa akin, malalaman ba sa LTO pag nag renew ako? magkano na kaya yung fee to redeem my license after a year ++ months (coding ang violation ko).

I'd advise against it. If you execute an Affidavit of Loss for your driver's license, you could be liable for perjury. Redeem mo na lang.

November 22nd, 2005 09:42 AM #4yun nga lang malamang meron kang malaking penalty and probably sanction na can't drive for at least a month...happened to me although LTO ang nanghuli mismo (3 months bago ko tinubos).
Baka naendrorse na rin ng MMDA ang licensya mo sa LTO.

ang alam ko, it's 5% of the fine, per day of delay. typically you have 5 working days (?) to redeem a license. so if it was, say, a 500-peso fine, and you didn't get the license for 6 months ( = 180 days) after the deadline to redeem the license, that's 180 days X 5% = 900% or 9X. So total fine is 500 pesos + (9x 500 pesos) = 5000 pesos.
pwede siguro ito i-areglo (legally). at least in makati, you can go to the legal office of makati city hall and appeal to have your fine reduced.

kakatanong ko lang sa MMDA mismo (found their number sa net). the lady i talked to sa main office said na wala daw penalty e. 300 pesos lang daw for the color coding violation. hope she's right
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
