Commemorative plates are for people with no taste trying hard to fit in.

    Deal with it.

in my opinion, not to offend those who have commemorative plates, pang porma lang, meron ako nun DPWH, kaso never ko nilagay,

satisfied na ko dun sa regular plates, yung mga naka sports car, luxury cars and full-sized SUV nga na nakikita ko karamihan naka regular plates lang, yung iba special/vanity plates naman

Odd kasi. Sinabi samin when we first got the commemorative plates na exempted talaga sa coding (yung gov't agency mismo nagsabi nun).

Labo talaga. Ano use nito, then?

    Guys ano ba talaga?

Sabi ng LTO, no coding daw.
Sabi ng MMDA at MTPB sakin, hindi ka huhulihin, highway patrol lang huhuli sayo.
Sabi sa MMDA site, hindi daw exempted.

Guys, what about using these commemorative plates habang wala pa yung talagang plaka? Ex, these days I've heard ang tatagal daw dumating mga bagong plaka. I am about to get a new car, and that for aesthetic purposes only, I am planning to put the comm plate in front instead of the dealer's name or the car's model.

LTO reminds motorists: Commemorative plates expired

Commemorative plates are now invalid and should no longer be displayed, the Land Transportation Office reminded motorists on Friday.

In an advisory posted on the Department of Transportation and Communications' Twitter account, the LTO said motorists still using such plates will be apprehended.

"As of 31 July 2013, all previous authorities to use commemorative plates have already expired. Therefore, all commemorative plates installed in motor vehicles are invalid and should no longer be displayed," it said.

"Motorists using expired commemorative plates will be apprehended," it added.

Some motorists had been noted to install commemorative plates of government agencies instead of the regular license plates on their vehicles.

These plates include those of the Philippine National Police and National Bureau of Investigation.

The NBI as early as September 2012 had asked motorists to remove the expired NBI 75th anniversary commemorative plates. —KG, GMA News
