Aftermarket equipment added to your vehicle does not automatically void a vehicle manufacturer's original warranty unless:

- The warranty clearly states that
- It can be proven that the aftermarket add-ons were the direct cause of the problem

What this means?

A vehicle manufacturer can’t void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket car equipment unless it can prove that the equipment led to the malfunction for which you’re claiming warranty coverage.

Yes, thats right, we as consumer should not be dictated by casa or the manufacturer. Like we can bring our motor oil, brake fluid, water coolant and others as long as it met the specs of the manufacturer. Its ok for me if the pricing is 10 to 15 per cent more,but sometimes it went up to 50% or even more. When We bought the car the warranty is already included in the pricing of the car, the casa and the manufacturer should not imposed such a rule

For mags and tires as long as the overall height and width of the tores is within the allowable range specified by the manufacturer the warranty doesn't get voided. For example you upgraded from 16" to 17" and the height if the wheels and tires remains the same then the warranty doesn't get voided

For any electrical, as long as there is nonsplicing involved then warranty doesn't get cancelled. Like changing HU of the car only if the installer uses an adapter and doesn't cut any wires then you should be fine

good day sirs, just want to ask, what if they can't prove that the modification was the direct cause of the problem? BUt yet, they insist that it is the cause.. would there be any organization or authority to go to at least have a common ground for both sides to be heard?

CASA advised me today that my transmission warranty claim is done. They replaced the whole transmission.
I can get my car this weekend.
However, they told me that I should pay for the new transmission fluid.
(Edit: The new transmission fluid is already in my car because they had to do test drives.)

As of now, I think I should not pay for it.
If the transmission did not have any problem, then the fluid needs not to be replaced.

What are your thoughts?

transmission fluid is a consumable and not part of warranty.. just pay for it.

Unfortunately, wala atang katumbas dito sa Pinas ang Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act tulad sa 'Murica.. Which basically says that the manufacturer/dealer must prove/replicate that what the modification (in any degree) the consumer has done with the vehicle did indeed cause the issue/s.
